Globalization

,Good morning everybody

In this presentation today I'm going to talk a little about a huge
discursive topic which is globalization. And I will point out some
.of the advantages and disadvantages of globalization

.First of all, let's have a brief introduction about this topic

The rapid advance in technology in the past decade has enabled
people, ideas, information and materials to move smoothly
between countries and in a less complicated ways and faster
than ever. This movement is referred as GLOBALIZATION, and it
causes interaction and integration between cultures and
.economies worldwide
The term Globalization can also referred to the international
.physical movement of people and goods all over the Glop

-:Examples of globalization
 McDonald's had 39,198 fast-food restaurants in 119
countries and territories, according to its Securities and
Exchange Commission filing at the end of 2020. It employed
more than 2.2 million people at that time, the filing said.

 Ford Motor Company reported in 2021 that it works with

about 1,200 tier 1 suppliers around the globe.

 Amazon's recent expansion has it using tens of thousands

of suppliers and employing more than nearly 1.3 million full-
and part-time employees.
Now lets start with the positive side or the advantages of
,globalization

.a)- freely movement of goods and services

Because of globalization process, movement of goods, services
and information can be moved freely between countries in a
.less complicated way
b)- development of information and communicating technology
has brought up a revolution in telecommunication, which
ended up with the invention of E books, E banking, E learning
.and many other electronic services
.c)- open markets
Big companies and countries are in a competition to provide
products with low prices and deliver it to the whole world, they
started their business in some pour countries and it provided
.job chances to those pour nations as well
On the other hand, whenever there is an advantage, there must
,be a disadvantage
- :Some of the drawbacks of globalization
.a)- climate change
The first disadvantage of globalization is ecological problems
such as, climate change. As the movement of people and
materials between countries is constantly in increase, this will
cause a lot of carbon emissions to be released to the
.atmosphere. And this is the main reason of global warming
.b)- spread of diseases
Because of globalization diseases of humans and animals can be
easily spread between countries. A live example is Covid-19
where it has been transmitted from China to the whole world in
.short time. An other example is Swin Fever from Africa
.C)- disproportionate economic growth
This means inequal growth of economies between countries
.where strong economic nations control the global markets

In conclusion, Globalization is neither good nor bad, it has both

positive side and drawbacks, where some nations are getting
the maximum benefits of it while others are suffering in some
areas, also, advances in technology and competition between
countries is progress and this may have negative impact on
.some nations
