INTRODUCTION

The research undertaken requires proper consultation and discussion with experts in the field
of music therapy and music training/performance. The requirement for selecting the correct
music for research is very vital for this research to have a proper comprehensive conclusion
or results. The vast experience of these experts in this field has been of immense importance
in the selection of music.

The music selected is based on existing data based on similar studies and also different
documentation provided in Carnatic music texts that categorize Carnatic Ragas based on the
mood that it evokes in the listener.

ABOUT:

Dr. Bhuvaneswari Ramesh is a Tutor at the Center for Music Therapy Education and
Research (CMTER). She has a Master's in Medical Music Therapy from Sri Balaji
Vidyapeeth, a Post Graduate Diploma in Music Therapy (PGDMT) from the Chennai School
of Music Therapy, and a Certificate in Music Foundation and Voice Culture from
Brhddhvani, Chennai. Additionally, she has a Master's in Business Administration (Human
Resources) from the University of Madras and is a Ph.D. research scholar in Music Therapy
at Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth.
