  The   Writ   Petition   above­mentioned   was   listed   before   the   Hon’ble


Court on 29.09.2022 alongwith connected matters, when the Hon’ble Court was
pleased to pass the following Order:­
“Mr. Tushar Mehta, learned Solicitor General of
India would submit that the matters came up suddenly
yesterday night. It is pointed out that these are the
cases where a Bill was introduced(learned senior
counsel appearing for WhatsApp would correct it by
pointing out that though tabled and referred to the
Committee it was not introduced as such) but for some
reasons it was withdrawn.
However, the learned Solicitor General would
point out that the Parliament is considering on
bringing in a new law which should address the
concerns of the parties. It is his definite stand that the
policy of the Government of India is that the users of
all the intermediaries in India should not suffer
discrimination in comparison to the users of these
platforms anywhere else in the world.
Mr. Shyam Divan, learned senior counsel
appearing for the petitioners would submit that while it
may be alright if some time is granted for the Union of

India till its decision to introduce a law and make a
law, if the matters are being adjourned it should be on
understanding that whenever it is to be listed on the
next occasion, it will be taken up for final hearing
unless it be at the impact of the legislation and covers
every issue which fall for our consideration in these
cases.
We are inclined to adjourn these matters, taking
note of the submission made by the learned Solicitor
General of India to the 17th January, 2023.
List these cases on the 17th January, 2023 for
final hearing.
By the 15th December, 2022 the pleadings in all
these cases shall be completed. Mr. Kanu Agrawal, Mr.
Shashank Mishra, and Mr. Prabhas Bajaj, learned
counsel, will provide a common compilation of
documents relied upon by all the parties before the
10th January, 2023.”

It is submitted that Mr. Shardul S. Shroff, Advocate has on 16.12.2022
filed   application   for   Amendment   of   Memo   of   Parties   of   Respondent   No.   4
which   has   been   registered   as   Interlocutory   Application   No.   200075   of   2022.
The same is being circulated before the Hon’ble Court. 
It   is   further   submitted   that   Mr.   Shardul   S.   Shroff,   Advocate   has   on
16.12.2022   filed   application   for   seeking   exemption   from   filing   duly   apostilled
versions   of   documents   alongwith   affidavit   on   behalf   of   Respondent   No.   4
which   has   been   registered   as   Interlocutory   Application   No.   200081   of   2022.
The same is being circulated before the Hon’ble Court. 
It   is   next   submitted   that   Mr.   Shardul   S.   Shroff,   Advocate   has   on
16.12.2022   filed   Affidavit   on   behalf   of   Respondent   Nos.   3   and   4   and   the   same
are being circulated before the Hon’ble Court. 
It   is   submitted   that   Mr.   Pallav   Mongia,   Petitioner­in­Person   has   on
11.01.2023   and   12.01.2023   filed   Rejoinder   Affidavit   to   the   affidavit   filed   by
the Respondent Nos. 3 and 4. The same are being circulated before the Hon’ble
Court. 
It   is   further   submitted   that   Mr.     Pallav   Mongia,   Petitioner­in­Person
has   on   16.01.2023   filed   Common   Compilation   of   documents­Volume   XIX   in
W.P.   (C)   Nos.   347   of   2017   and   463   of   2021.   The   same   is   being   circulated
before the Hon’ble Court.

It   is   next   submitted   that   Mr.   Senthil   Jagadeesan,   Advocate   has   on
25.01.2023   filed   response   on   behalf   of   Respondent   No.   9   i.e.   Google   Inc.   The
same is being circulated before the Hon’ble Court. 
It is submitted that Mr. Balaji Srinivasan, Advocate has on 30.01.2023
filed   reply   on   behalf   of   Respondent   No.   6   i.e.   Twitter   Inc   but   some   pages   of
annexures   are   dim   impression.   However,     the   same   is   being   circulated   before
the Hon’ble Court.
It   is   lastly   submitted   that   no   other   documents   has   been   filed   in   the
matter, so far.
The   Writ   Petition   alongwith   application   above­mentioned   is   listed
before the Hon'ble Court with this Revised Office Report for Orders.
