 Originated in Chicago on Thanksgiving Day, 1887

 First softball game was played using a rolled using boxing glove as a ball and a broom
stick as a bat

RULES AND REGULATIONS:


 Each team consists of 9 players
 A game may last for 7 innings
 2 teams alternate turns at batting and fielding
 Each teams bats once in each innings
 Down the first and third base line is a foul area

“Volleyball”
 Volleyball is initiated in USA in 1895
 By Mr. William G. Morgan – a YMCA physical education director
 In 1964, it became part of the regular program of the Olympic Games
 In the beginning it is called “Mintonette” and change it to “Volleyball”
 On July 7, 1896 at Springfield College the first game of “volleyball” was played
 Played by two teams of six player
BASIC RULES IN PLAYING VOLLEYBALL:
A. Start of the game
- toss coin determines the serving and receiving
- maximum of three hits per side
B. Playing the ball
- the team is allowed three touches in order to return the ball to the opponent
- players in back right corner will serve the ball
- you can rotate the players around the court so that you will have a new server
C. Timeout
- each teams get two timeouts per set
D. Scoring
- rally point system will be used
E. The Libero
- libero is a member of the team wearing uniform
