Following the Middle Ages, the Renaissance was a heated period of European
cultural, artistic, political, and economic “rebirth.” The Renaissance, which lasted from
the 14th through the 17th centuries, promoted the rediscovery of ancient philosophy,
literature, and art. During this time, some of history's greatest intellectuals, philosophers,
statesmen, scientists, and artists thrived, while global discovery opened up new places
and civilizations to European trade. The Renaissance is widely recognized for bridging
the Middle Ages and modern civilization.

Renaissance period interest me the most, because I’m still in the middle of
wonder if how we came up to the things that we are currently using in this present of
time. What is interesting about is that the Renaissance shows us the importance of
looking to the past for answers and inspiration while coping with current events. We can
not only discover potential sources of solutions, but also solutions to overcome present
difficulties that prior cultures have experienced, by looking to the past for guidance
today. Recognizing the foundations set in the past allows us to appreciate what we have
now. This is true not only for the technology, but also for the willingness to explore new
solutions to existing problems. There was a prevalent humanist belief in the human
person's opportunity to stand to obstacles of the day during the Renaissance, and this
concept provides us with a model for courage in achieving what no one has done
before.
