Statement Of The Problem


This study aimed to determine whether the learning engagement and learning
satisfaction significantly predict the academic achievement in science.
Specifically, it attempted to answer the following questions:

1. What is the extent of learning engagement in Science in terms of:


1.1. cognitive engagement;
1.2. affective engagement; and
1.3. behavioral engagement?
2. What is the level of learning satisfaction in Science in terms of:
2.1. use and content of the learning modules;
2.2. distribution and retrieval of modules; and
2.3. monitoring progress?
3. What is the level of academic achievement in Science of the learners?
4. Is there a significant relationship between:
4.1. learning engagement and academic achievement in Science?
4.2. learning satisfaction and academic achievement in Science?
5. Do learning engagement and learning satisfaction significantly predict the
academic achievement in Science?
