evaluate your work, as both an ongoing
activity and at the conclusion of the project.

You should describe how you intend to

record your decision-making and how you
will document changes to your ideas as the

should reference your stated aims and
be reflective and analytical rather than a
description of actions completed.

When working in collaboration with others,

you should comment on how this may impact
either positively or adversely and outline the
steps you can take to minimise disruption to
your own progress.

Project action plan and timetable:

to outline your planning and organisation
over a period of weeks and the activities you
will need to carry out in order to successfully
complete your project in the agreed time
frame. The more time and thought you give
to
planning your project, the more successful it is
likely to be.

It is important that you consider how you will

balance ambition, time and realism in the
realisation of the project. You should also
include what you are going to do, how you
will do it and by when. Remember to include:
time spent sourcing materials and other
resources to conduct research, feedback from
tutors and peers, and when you will carry out
independent study.

Bibliography (Harvard Format):

This section provides an opportunity to record

the initial research sources, both primary and
secondary, that you intend to use.

Your sources of research should be as wide

as possible and could include libraries,
galleries, books, magazines, films, computer
games, websites, blogs, social media, radio
programmes, archive material etc. Where
appropriate, you should use the Harvard
system of referencing. The bibliography should
be continuously updated as the
project progresses.

Project Title
Money Spreads Madness

Section 1: Rationale
(approx. 100 words)
I have experienced mental health issues in my life. I want to create a project that
helps to show a more exaggerated version. Although my issues haven’t been nearly
as bad as what we are creating, I think that I have at least a decent grasp of what
to base it off.

I have made a range of different films this year, and have filmed multiple roles. My
favourite film was I did in the stye of Denis Villeneuve. I worked alone on this
project, and really enjoyed the control I had as a director. As this is the final
project, I have worked in a group to help create a large concept, although I am still
focusing on Directing.

Section 2: Project
Concept
The project is inspired by American Psycho. It follows a young, rich businessman,
(approx. 200 words) named Thomas Branson, killing his friend due to his fragile ego being damaged. It
follows him interacting with his friends and business partners, as over time, he
slowly loses patience and snaps, brutally murdering his friend in an act of jealously
and rage. He then begins to fear that he may get caught, only to see the man he
believed to have murdered, standing in front of him.

This short film is meant to symbolize the idea that the rich believe they can do
whatever they want. They see themselves as above the law and doesn’t consider
the fact that societies rules apply to them. It also symbolizes a descent into
madness, as the film slowly distorts according to this, and by the end, you don’t
know what was real or not.

I want to show the damage that mental health can do to a person’s life, warping
the world around them, and the damage it can cause if not treated or helped by
others. The combination of an egotistical man believing himself to be better than
anyone else, and mental illness distorting their view on life, I think shows the
dangers of what a person can do.

Section 3: Evaluation
(approx. 50 words)
I am going to assess the positives and negatives of my final piece, and what
happened before it. I also what to do evaluate my groups edits of the project, to
see what they did better and worse to my own. This will help me to get the best
amount of feedback.
