09/02/2023 This was the start of the brief.

We were thinking of what idea to do and decided

on a somewhat Psychedelic film. We are basing it off of a scene from Madoka
Magica, which experiments with trippy visuals.

We watched some videos on other visual experimental films, and learned more
on the genre of arthouse films. Some of things we saw included Under the skin
and Trainspotting. We also some of the basics on 3d tracking.
13/02/2023 We did the PowerPoint today, where we went deeper into the project. We
talked about symbolism and different theories we wanted to implement.

We also saw some more videos on visual experimentation, such as the music
video for virtual insanity and Koyaanisqatsi.
15/02/2023 Today we went to Tullie house as a way to gain inspiration. We went to the
temporary exibit on King Arthur, which was very interesting.
16/02/2023 Today we did lessons on both abstract photography and green screens. These
helped to give us ideas for our project.
26/02/2023 It has been half term, and over which we have been improving our blogs. We
have done the risk assessment and are working on other pieces of paperwork.
We believed that we had longer to do the project, and got a bit panicked when
realising how long we have left. We have decided to change our idea to
something reminiscing of an online comedy sketch, with inspiration from a
scene from the game Deltarune.
27/02/2023 We created the storyboard, and further went into detail with our idea. We are
going to go with a somewhat comic book ascetic.
28/02/2023 We have finished the script for the project. It has helped us get a good grasp of
what we want to go for.
01/03/2023 We are still on the bench about what our final idea would be. We went to Bitts
park and recorded some footage that we could use. Firstly, we did some shots
that involved perspective. Then we did some shots for a possible fake
documentary.
02/03/2023 Today we had a talk to Darren about how our project is going. We told him that
none of our ideas have really stuck, and that we believed that we weren’t going
to be able to create a solid, story-based film. He said it was ok, and that we
could just experimenting with different camera techniques. We decided that it
was a good idea, and beginning experimenting with different videos.

We also drew some letters that we could maybey use for stop motion.
06/03/2023 Over the weekend, we recorded a few different videos that we could use for
the project. Today we went out to Bitts Park and recorded a variety of different
clips that we can use.
08/03/2023 Today we created the final edit. Overall, the project wasn’t our best work,
although I believe we all learned some new and helpful techniques we can use
in future projects.
