This lesson plan introduces 14th grade students to English language learning (ELL) strategies and the Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol (SIOP) model. Procedure BEFORE (opening slides KWL (K and W) Introduce students to the vocabulary to be used (the repetitive exposure of the same words to support learning and the usage of graphic organizers to define new words) State objectives Informal “what do you already know”
