Huaneng Lancang River Hydropower Inc. (HydroLancang) is a large

state-owned hydropower enterprise held and administered by CHNG.
It is mainly involved with development and operation of hydropower
resources of the Lancang River Basin and other renewable energies
including solar and wind power. The installed capacity of HydroLancang
is 22GW. with an annual electricity output of about 80 TWh.
HydroLancang is currently the second largest river-basin hydropower
developer in China. On 15 December 2017, HydroLancang was listed on
Shanghai Stock Exchange.

Up to now, the total installed capacity of CHNG Yunnan Branch is

26.9678 GW, of which 23.1838 GW was owned by HydroLancang and
3784 MW owned by Yunnan Diandong Energy Co., Ltd. The total asset
of Yunnan Branch exceeds RMB 180 billion, and the scale of project
capacity under construction, preparation and preliminary work exceeds
15 GW.

缅甸瑞丽江一级水电站
Shweli (1) Hydropower Station
瑞丽江一级水电站位于缅甸境内瑞丽江上，距中国边境 42 公
里，装机容量 60 万千瓦，年发电量 40 亿千瓦时。电站于 2009
年 4 月全部投产发电，电站分别接入中、缅两国电网，电量按相
同比例消纳。自机组全部投产以来，各机组按中缅双方的电网调
度正常运行，电站为中缅两国的经济发展提供了稳定可靠的能源
支持，为促进大湄公河次区域电力合作树立了成功典范，并深得
缅甸政府赞誉。电站投产以来已累计发电约 280 亿千瓦时。
公司负责开发的中缅第一个水电 BOT 项目瑞丽江一级电站安
全高效建成投产，创下国际、国内同规模电站建设的多个第一；
柬埔寨桑河二级电站是柬埔寨境内最大的水电工程，大坝全长
6500 米为 2018 年 10 月全部建成投产；目前，公司正在开展跨
国送电及其他电力合作项目研究。
Shweli (1) Hydropower Station is located on Shweli River
of Myanmar and is 42km away from China-Myanmar border.
Its total installed capacity is 600 MW with designed annual
generation of 4 GWh. The project was put into operation in
April 2009. The power station is connected with both China and
Myanmar power grid. The electricity is consumed at the same
rate. Since its operation, the station has been smoothly operated
under regulation of power grids from both China and Myanmar,
and playing an important role to supply stable and reliable power
to China and Myanmar as the support of economy development
for both countries. The Myanmar government speaks highly of
this station, and it represents a successful example of the power
cooperation among the Great Mekong sub-region area. The
cumulative generating output is 28 TWh.
The first China-Myanmar Hydropower BOT Project
developed by HydroLancang, Shweli(1) Hydropower Station,
has been completed and put into operation safely and efficiently, making a number of records
in the construction for power stations of the same scale at home and abroad; the Cambodia
Lower Sesan II Hydropower Project is the largest hydropower project in Cambodia with a total
length of 6,500 m dam. It has been fully completed and put into operation in October 2018.
HydroLancang is carrying out research on transnational power transmission and other power
cooperation projects at present.

源部对瑞丽江一级电站故障率低、供电安全稳定、枯期保供电及积极承担
社会责任等方面给予充分肯定。
On Nov 17, 2020, Ministry of Electricity & Energy of Myanmar
affirmed, signed and issued an honorary certificate to Shweli (I)
Hydropower Company for its efforts in anti-epidemic activities and
ensuring of power supply. On Dec. 13, the project was awarded the
honorary certificate of Excellent Power Plant by MEE of Myanmar. MEE
fully affirmed the project on its low power failure rate, safe and stable
power supply in dry season and its CSR fulfillment.

柬埔寨桑河二级水电站
Lower Sesan 2 Hydropower Project in Cambodia

桑河二级水电站位于柬埔寨上丁省桑河上，电站装机 40 万千瓦，多
年平均发电量 19.7 亿千瓦时。澜沧江公司下属的国际能源公司作为控股
方，与柬埔寨及越南合作伙伴共同投资开发，项目于 2013 年底开始筹建，
于 2017 年 1 月 20 日完成了三期围堰截流，2018 年 10 月全部建成投产。
大坝全长 6500 米，为“亚洲第一长坝”，进一步推动了“中国技术 + 中
国标准 + 中国设备 + 中国管理”的全链条“走出去”，每年为柬埔寨提
供约 20 亿千瓦时的清洁能源；该项目作为柬埔寨在建的最大水电项目，
受到了柬埔寨首相洪森的认可，首相曾于 2016 年 7 月份实地视察电站，
于 2017 年 9 月参加电站下闸蓄水仪式，并于 2018 年 11 月参加电站竣
工投产仪式，对公司建设过程中的努力给予了充分肯定和表扬。

Lower Sesan 2 Hydropower Project is located on Sesan River in

Stung Treng province in Cambodia with an installed capacity of 400
MW and annual average generation of 1.9 TWh. As the controlling
shareholder, HIE, a fully owned subsidiary of HydroLancang, jointly
developed the project with partners from Cambodia and Vietnam. The
project construction was started in the end of 2013, and the 3rd phase
river closure for cofferdam was completed on January 20th, 2017. The
first unit was put into operation in December, 2017, and all units were
put into operation in 2018. Lower Sesan 2 HPP is currently the largest
hydropower project built in Cambodia, the project will provide sufficient
power supply to promote stable operation of the state grid. Cambodia's
Prime Minister Hun Sen paid great attention to the project progress and
visited project site in July 2016 and attended the reservoir impoundment
ceremony in September, 2017, during which time Prime Minister Hun
Sen highly praised HydroLancang's efforts in project development.

After the covid-19 pandemic, LSS(2) joined hands with local

and USD 30,000 to Cambodia Red Cross. Chief of Energy Bureau

瑞丽江二级水项目
Shweli (2) Hydropower Project
瑞丽江二级水电站位于缅甸境内的瑞丽江上，为缅甸境
内瑞丽江梯级电站的第二级，其坝址距上游已投运的瑞丽江
一级水电站厂房 8 公里，距中缅边界约 81 公里，装机容量
52 万千瓦，年发电量 28.1 亿千瓦时。项目开发谅解备忘录
（MOU）、协议备忘录（MOA）分别于 2009 年和 2010 年
签署。目前，公司正在联合缅甸合作伙伴亚洲世界公司与缅
甸电力能源部就项目合资协议（JVA）进行商谈，项目正在推
进过程中。
Shweli (2) Hydropower Station is located on Shweli
river of Myanmar and is the second cascade along Shweli
river cascades hydropower projects. The site of Shweli (2)
project is 8 kilometers far away from the upstream Shweli
(1) project, and 81 kilometers far away from the China-
Myanmar border. Its Capacity is 520 MW with designed
annual generation of 2.81 TWh. The MOU and MOA of the
project had been signed respectively in 2009 and 2010.
Recently, HydroLancang and cooperation partner, The
Asia World Company, are discussing the matter of JVA
with The Ministry of Electric Power of Myanmar. Shweli (2)
project is in good progress.

China Huaneng Group attaches great
importance to fulfilling corporate social
