Students will be able to identify aurally different drum grooves and
compose appropriate grooves for selected genres. (Rock, Hip-Hop,
Jazz, Shuffle)
Students will be able to read standard drum set notation and sequence
drum beats using an online drum machine.

Describe the assessment used – formal and informal assessments based
on learning objectives.)
Students will compose drum grooves in a style of their choice.
Students will read drum set notation and recreate patterns using a
sequencer.
