1.Please make your own summary about thanks giving celebration.

for me thanksgiving celebration is a celebration that is usually done in the united states in
november. This celebration is usually done to thank the authorities for the harvest that has been
given. This celebration is usually done by eating turkey at night and there will be lots of autumn
vegetables. And the turkey will be eaten with cranberry sauce.

and also in the city there will be various kinds of events like a parade. and every thanks
giving school in America will be closed for 1-2 days. they all spend positive things in this event.
Usually people will be very happy.

They go out at night and spend time with their loved ones telling them about the good
things they have received. There are also those who go to church to say a prayer to God and
return home to celebrate thanksgiving and enjoy a turkey dish.

This celebration is actually not as exciting as Christmas. Because this is only a celebration
of the United States, not internationally. But there are also other countries that celebrate events
like this but with different names. But there is still one goal, namely to be grateful for the
harvest.

People also usually don't really expect to get gifts or candy. thanks giving is marked by the
start of the Christmas shopping season. On average, in every city, there must be a parade with
luxurious decorations and excitement with interesting themes with Santa Claus because it's close
to Christmas, so there are several Christmas ornaments used.

and of course there is a marching band from school that will enliven this event. football
matches in America are also held on television channels in America. Parties are also held as
greetings from the nomads to the Native Americans. The nomads have been helped to plant
enough food to eat

Thanksgiving in its history is a special day to give thanks for the blessings of life that have
been obtained by someone. This celebration was first performed by Pastor Juan de Padilla in
1541 in Canyon, Texas. Then following appeared in 1565 celebrated by refugees in St
Augustine, Florida. This marks the anniversary of the arrival of the first wave of European
immigrants to North America.

During the American Civil War, many battles and conflicts caused suffering to American
citizens. But in 1863, President Abraham Lincoln issued an official letter making every 4th
Sunday in November be National Thanksgiving Day. Since that appointment, Lincoln has invited
all Americans to take time to be grateful for everything that America has gone through, both the
suffering and the wounds suffered by citizens as a result of the war, leaving everything in the
hands of God's mercy.

thanksgiving in North America is also an opportunity to gather with family and relatives. The
Wednesday before Thanksgiving and Sunday, which is the last day of the Thanksgiving holiday,
are the busiest days for air transportation, trains, intercity buses and highways.

"They now begin to gather together the little harvest that they produce, and prepare their homes
and dwellings for the winter, all blessed with health and strength and all supplies quite abundant.
While some work outside the home, others go fishing, cod, sea bass , and other fish, all of which
were kept and every family had in sufficient quantity.

All summer fowl was not needed, and now had a supply of fowl. Winter was approaching,
this place was still in abundance when they first came (but after it decreased little by little.)
Besides waterfowl, there was a large supply of wild turkey, which they took in abundance,
besides venison, etc.

Besides, they once had to measure out a week's ration for each person, or now since the
harvest, corn Indians according to the same measure.Which made many people after that write
happily about the bountiful harvest of kep there are friends of theirs in England, who are not
making it up, all real reports."

Thanksgiving celebrations held after the harvest gradually developed in the mid-17th century.
But the day of holding Thanksgiving is not in sync, each colony has its own Thanksgiving day.

"A general day of Thanksgiving to Almighty God who blessed Canada with a bountiful harvest
will be observed on the second Monday of October.

The first Canadian Thanksgiving after the Act of Confederation was held on the 5th April
1872 holiday to celebrate the recovery of the Prince of Wales (later King Edward VII of the
United Kingdom) from a serious illness. Since 1879, Thanksgiving has been celebrated every
year, but the date is only set that year and is always changing.

The Thanksgiving celebration itself does have its own special food which is a requirement and
the core of the Thanksgiving celebration. One of the special foods that must be present at
Thanksgiving celebrations in these places is roast turkey.

Why should turkey be the main food choice at Thanksgiving? It actually comes from a
warrior legend from America. In the beginning, the Queen of England was celebrating the
victory and sinking of Spain, and then at her party she served wild goose which was considered
to bring good luck.
Gratitude celebrations such as Thanksgiving do not only exist in America. But also in
several countries including Indonesia. Although with the same goal, namely hoping for blessings
from God, this celebration has a different name in each country. Pacu Jawi, Indonesia In the past,
farmers practiced Pacu Jawi after the harvest, before the next planting season. However,
nowadays this activity which is carried out three times a year has become one of the tourist
attractions in Tanah Datar Regency, West Sumatra. Pacu Jawi is almost similar to the Karapan
Sapi tradition in Madura.

The difference is, jalan jawi is carried out on muddy ground. Unlike the bull race which is
held in a dry field. Apart from Pacu Jawi, there are many similar traditions from various regions
in Indonesia to give thanks for the harvest. For example, Grebeg Syawal and Sekaten in
Yogyakarta, Seren Taun in West Java, and the Dewi Sri Festival in Bali.
