1. Name the analytical reagents which can cause the following observations;
a. reddish-brown colouration

Millon's reagent

2. Explain briefly the following terms


a. Nutrition
Is the process whereby living organisms get food .

b. Autotrophism
Autotrophism refers to the ability of an autotrophic organism to manufacture their
own food through the process of photosynthesis ,autotrophs use energy from the sun
to convert water from the soil and carbon dioxide from the air into a nutrient
called glucose. Glucose is a type of sugar. The glucose gives plants energy.

3. Give one benefit each of the following


i .Calciferol
It helps in the absorption of calcium or phosphorus from the gut for strong bone
and teeth formation .

ii .Phylloquinone
It helps in the clotting of blood
