2.5. What Procedures We Have Been Using While Performing Our Work
Tasks
This group at work wear committed enough in working time, at morning works are started at
2:00 but we wear arrived There before 2:00 in order to change our clothing and to be ready
for work, me and my mentor mechanic wear friendly and it helps me to ask what I didn’t
understand, and he used to encourage me within every step of working my tasks And there is
spar time at 4:00 for about 15 and this time helps not only to get rust but it helps us to discuss
what we got new. And what problem we have faced we will discussed every topic in detail.
And if their issues which need any explanation we will ask our mechanic or responsible body
and check it in the internet that makes our tasks interesting which ordered by my mentor
mechanic, we try to do our best and if he saw any problem he correct with clear explanation
and we wear worked hand to hand even in overtime period.

2.6. What Challenges We Have Been Facing While Performing Our Work

CHAPTER THREE

OVERALL BENEFIT GAINED FROM INTERNSHIP

3.1 In terms of improving practical skills
This internship helps us to realize what Automotive Engineering actually deals with.
Since our country is one of the countries which growth fast in economically aspect and
development to secure the middle-income country. So that we understand that Automotive
Engineer play a vital role in the development and growth of our country. Beside we got some
benefit in order to improve our skills and knowledge.

And also in our duration of internship, we got many important things in many perspective,
what we learned theoretically, improving interpersonal communication skills, upgrading
theoretical knowledge, understanding about work ethics related issues, improving team
playing skills and the like.

3.2 In terms of upgrading our theoretical knowledge

Generally, our theoretical knowledge becomes developed by those practical techniques. It
help us to combine both we have studied theoretically and practical knowledge.

3.3 In terms Of Improving Interpersonal Communication Skill

Team workings are persons who play or work wells as member of a team or group. Team in
organization need strong team. Player to perform well and reach their goals such team work
and sharing of knowledge and responsibility allows us to be more productive in future.

In internship program we developed very interesting team working skill, work well with
other members. In our internship experience we developed sharing experience with others,
performed tasks together as a team, developed the spirit of brother or sister hood, respect the
ideas of other group members and give a credit for that, behaviour and thinking like.

Commitment: In this internship program we developed commitment to perform a given task

and my project and being dependable and reliable was other things that we learnt.

Communicative: Communication is key when working in a team environment. It is crucial.

We experienced a close relation with working environment, listen team members attentively
and patiently in the discussion, convincing one another the habit of group discussion,
interacting with each other dynamically.

Page 18
AUTOMOTIVE technology and vehicle 2021

Problem solving: we can figure out team players to not get stressed out when something
changes or something new pops us. It is important to consider different point of views are
compromise when these situations arise while it is important for team players share their
thoughts and ideas, it is also important to consider other suggestions, it is important being
open minded.

3.4 In terms Of Improving Our Leadership Skills

The internship experience helps us how to improve effective leadership skills. Through
patience, persistence and hardworking we can be an effective leader this help us to develop
good leadership qualities.
During internship period we just take an advice and experience from our workshop
supervisors they told us the way to develop leadership skills. The internship had offered us to
grasp leadership virtues such as self-confidence, accountability and fair assignation of tasks.
we have seen how important the concept of leadership in any work area.

Hence, we try to learn.

 How to control the resource and material of the company

 How to develop operational plan
 How to monitor and review operational performance
 Review and evaluate work performance
 How to manage the employees of the company
 How the leaders interact with employees’ smooth and understandable way

3.5 In terms Of Understanding about Work Ethics Related Issues

The benefit of the internship program was interesting in the development of strong ethical
work since work ethics is vital to a company achieving its goals. So, every employee must
have a good work ethic to keep the company functioning at its peak.

The work ethics of the workers of this company is what we can take from this internship.
Younger mechanics have great respect for their elderly colleagues even if they are higher in
their authority or organizational place.

Some of the work ethics we understood are the following.

 Reliability - the worker should be qualified for the part he/she is supposed to be
performing. He/she must have appropriate skill and knowledge for the task assigned.
 Honesty – regarding this value each worker regardless of its status should abstain
from bad behaviours such as cheating, bias, corruption etc.

Page 19
AUTOMOTIVE technology and vehicle 2021
management.
 Cooperation - each worker should be interacting and cooperate with each other while
working. That is because it is through such system problems could be easily solved.

 Punctuality - means keeping the companies work time from the beginning to ending
time and to complete a given task within the given period. That was challenging to
become actual for the first days of work. But gradually we began to start and end our
task on time

3.6 In Terms Of Entrepreneurship Skills

In our intern time, we met with some entrepreneurs on way of our work and our part
time activity; and I gained greater insight into business and entrepreneurship. The basic
entrepreneurship skills that these peoples have and we noted are: business planning, risk
assessment, team building.
After of completion of our study we may get employed in company. However, we will not
confine source of financial income to the company pay only. For these days, we have vision
to own a firm, business, or venture, and responsibly develop it in parallel with my employer’s
work.
It is our opinion that managing one’s own business offers far greater security than being an
employee elsewhere. We feel entrepreneurship enables us to acquire wealth quickly and
cushion us against financial insecurity. Additionally, an entrepreneur’s future is not at peril
owing to the faulty decisions of a finicky employer. During our internship we met some
entrepreneurs on way of our work and our part time activity; and we gain greater insight into
business and entrepreneurship. The basic entrepreneurship skills that these peoples have and
we noted are: business planning, risk assessment, team building, and study.

4.1 CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION

4.1.1. Conclusion
There was a great experience working in Nyala motors S.C. This organization has
good working culture, great mind and very high quality of work. We learned a lot of things
related to vehicle maintenance, also upgrade theoretical knowledge and skill. We hope our
design will help the company to simplify the hardest work in day. The Design describes a
dual valve spring compressor tool for removal and replacement of two valve stem, seals,
valve locks and other related engine valve service and repairs at a time, there by consuming
less time at higher safety and it enables quick and simple method of doing tasks . The design
of the tool is so done by keeping in mind the necessary safety requirement and also the time
consuming nature of the procedure to be undertaken while doing the job. The tool so
designed `shows acute and modified automotive tools. In review this internship has been an
excellent and rewarding experience We have been able to meet and network with so many
people. We are sure able to help us with opportunities in the future. One main thing that we
have learned through this internship is how things were made, time management skill as well
as self –motivation when we first started we did not think that we were going to be able to
make our self-work for a full day it seems impossible.
The main things we have learnt are our field considering matters. We have been
working for Nyala motors Share Company during our four-month internship period and we
enjoyed this line of work, Since we have upgraded our knowledge about our field automotive
engineering. Internship had made us profitable since we have got enough knowledge about
our field with the necessary benefits. This was an excellent experience and we hope that other
interns got as much out of it as we did.

4.1.2. Recommendation
Since we were on internship period for about four months, we have observed many
things like problems, strength in the company so we made these recommendations so that the
company will use it someday. There is lack of working instrument, its better if they use
modified tools and buying full working instrument for each technician. There is no body
there for at least for first aid like a nurse or doctor, so it’s better if they have a person who
gives first aid. Enterprise must create environment that motivate the workers for more
productivity. Lack of spare part due to import from foreign countries. So, it is better to

manufactured in the country .Its better if the company initiates the student in working also
pays them to get their full passion.
