ABOUT
DOMINOS
Domino's is a well-known international pizza delivery and carryout
chain with a global presence. Founded in 1960 in Ypsilanti, Michigan,
United States, by Tom Monaghan and his brother James Monaghan,
Domino's has grown to become one of the largest pizza chains in the
world.

Over the years, Domino's has expanded its operations globally through
company-owned stores as well as franchising. The brand's familiar
red and blue logo, along with its distinctive store designs, has become
synonymous with the Domino's experience.
the interior is simple and practical. They are intended to serve both in-store customers and order
preparation for delivery and carryout. The area consists of a counter for placing and picking up orders and
a few tables and chairs for dine-in guests.

The Domino's logo and branding features are widely displayed both inside and outside the store. The
company's characteristic red and blue colors, as well as numerous advertising items and menu displays,
are frequently seen.

they have their special offers and qr code on the desks for easy access.

the floor looks unclean and leaves the mark of non maintenance.

the aesthetics level of the restaurant is not that appealing and engaging.
the inner walls on the left side and the right side is covered with visuals of people sharing and eating pizzas.

THE LIGHTING OF THE ENITRE STORE IS IN WARM YELLOW LIGHTS.

Domino's stores typically have a variety of pizzas, side dishes, and beverages on their menu. THEY MAINLY
OFFER PIZZAS.

there are delivery vehicles parked outside.

there is tv display hanging from the ceiling. The pizza boxes are stacked in shelves and also a part of their
cooking area can be seen..

A digital token display is also suspended from the ceiling.

Domino's uses sturdy, corrugated cardboard boxes to hold and protect their pizzas during delivery or
carryout. the boxes typically have the Domino's logo and branding on the top.
1.) Ambience
Pizza hut- The overall ambiance of
pizza hut is much better than Domino's.
The hanging lights give a classy look.
The quotes on the wall and other
decorative items endeavor to create an
eating atmosphere.

Domino’s - The eating atmosphere is not

that great at Dominos. Domino's
aesthetics are not that eye catchy
except for the color red.
2.) Colour palette
Pizza hut- The store is inclusive of
red as the main color as a part of
the logo. The interior is well
furnished with red color and
wooden texture as their main theme.

Domino’s- The color palette includes

Domino's old blue, red and white in
the interior, such as the logo, menu,
and walls. The predominance of bold
red presents a sense of warmth and
fun.
3.) Space
Pizza Hut- Pizza Hut has better
seating arrangements than
Domino's. They have efficiently
utilized the space.

Domino’s- THE SEATING SPACE IS NOT

ADEQUATE. Looks like their
concentration is on online orders.

Both the stores have kept the

payment and offer signages on
tables for easy access.
4.) Menu
Pizza hut- The menu of Pizza Hut
shows the brand essence. It has
got various images alongside the
items.

Domino's- Domino's is mainly

associated with pizzas though it
has a lot of side menu items.

PROBLEMS
NO PROPER SEATING ARRANGEMENT CAN BE SEEN.

THE TABLES NEAR THE COUNTER CAUSE HINDRANCE.

The area in between the seating space is not utilised properly, Also the space made for pick up
counter is not needed.

Lack of Decor: An unappealing decor can create a sterile and uninviting environment that may
discourage customers from returning. The decor can include wall art, lighting fixtures, and
other design elements that add personality and character to the space.

Maintenance Issues: Proper maintenance and upkeep are crucial to keep the restaurant looking
and functioning at its best.
PROBLEM statement
DOMINO'S needs a way to get the RESTAURANT a PROPER
SEATING ARRANGEMENT, an INVITING ENVIRONMENT IN the FORMS
OF LIGHTING and WALL ART AND efficient traffic flow, and
ease of maintenance so that the restaurant looks
uncluttered and welcoming with less likelihood of
maintenance issues arising in the restaurant.
