Sightseeing: the activity of visiting

Connectors (p. 67 Student’s book)
Son palabras que ayudan a conectar ideas y aclarar que acciones se realizan
primer. Hacen que el discurso sea más fácil de entender.

Los conectores se pueden dividir en:

Introducción de ideas: first.


Secuenciación de distintas acciones: later, then, next, after that.
Conclusión: finally.

Example: “How to make an English cup of tea”

First, you must boil water in a kettle. Then, you warm the teapot with boiling
water. After that, put some tea into the teapot.
Next, leave it for 2-4 minutes, depending on the tea. Then, pour the tea into
the cup.
Finally, you can put some milk into the cup, and your tea is ready! Enjoy!

English expressions (p. 72 Student’s book)

“Get off” y “get on” son verbos frasales (prhasal verbs) que se
componen de un verbo y una preposición, por lo que cambia el
significado original de dicho verbo.

Examples: - Hurry up! We have to catch the train. (Date prisa.


Tenemos que tomar el tren)
- My mom said, “Get on the bus quickly before it
leaves.” (Mi mama dice, “Sube rápido al bus antes que se
vaya.”)
- This is the last stop, so I have to get off the bus. (Esta
es la última parada, así que tengo que bajarme del bus.)
- I’m waiting for the winter break to go on holidays!
