Master Line
The Master Line motors (M line) stand out for the flexibility of their electrical and mechanical design,
adapting to the strictest operating requirements in different applications.
The result of this innovative development is a highly efficient product in compliance with the

Three-Phase Induction Motors


WGM Line

The WGM motors were developed for many different applications in the industry, and are ideal for
variable speed applications and places where the motor size is a critical factor.
Its refrigeration system by means of a water jacket, with water circulating through the frame and
endshields, produces a more effective heat exchange with low noise and little heat dissipation to the
environment. That enables operation with variable speed and constant torque even at low speeds.

Hydrogenerators

Designed for hydro plants, the hydrogenerators offer a wide range of output powers and speeds based
on an extensive market research and WEG’s experience in supplying and designing hydrogenerators.
The hydrogenerators can be used with Kaplan, Francis and Pelton turbines, among others, in different
options of electrical and mechanical configurations.

Francis Hydraulic Turbines


Machines designed with single rotor for vertical or horizontal shaft, or double rotor for horizontal shaft.
This kind of turbine can be used in the broadest application range in terms of head/flow.
Suitable for heads from 10 m to 200 m.

Kaplan Hydraulic Turbines


Machines with vertical or horizontal shaft designed with Kaplan rotor with adjustable blades, allowing
regulation according to the distributor flow.
This kind of turbine operates in a wide flow range, reaching the best performance in the efficiency curve
with partial loads.
Recommended to operate at heads as low as 60 m, but with great water volume.
Available on “S” tubular type upstream or downstream, with horizontal or vertical shaft.

Pelton Hydraulic Turbines


Machines characterized by a rotor with spoon-shaped buckets and nozzles that direct forceful streams
of water against them.
The position of the shaft can be vertical or horizontal.
This kind of turbine are designed to operate with high heads and low flows, from 200 m up to 1,100 m.

Wind Turbines

The AGW wind turbines have active control of the blade pitch angle and rotor variable speed, with a
permanent magnets synchronous generator and direct coupling to the rotor, with no need of a gearbox.
Provided with a full power converter, which enables a smooth and controlled connection to the power grid.
The direction control system keeps the turbine always facing the wind, even when it is not in operation.
The wind turbines have an especially designed cooling system that enables them to be installed in
aggressive environments.

Those services can be performed at our factories or in the field, including machines from other manufacturers. WEG uses the
same technology employed to manufacture new equipment to execute the services.
The services at WEG factories on motors and generators are performed at the factories in Minneapolis (USA), Hosur (India),
Jaraguá do Sul (Brazil) and São Bernardo do Campo (Brazil), which is also qualified to perform services on equipment for
application in explosive atmospheres. The services on hydraulic turbines are performed at the Joaçaba Unit (Brazil).
Those plants have all the structure and support of the engineering, industrial process and quality control departments,
enabling prompt, reliable and quality services.

Technical Support

WEG offers to its customers technical support services,


responsible for the entire after sale support. Those services
included general requests and services in the field, including
checking, commissioning of machines and 24x7 support.
WEG’s Authorized Service network is present worldwide.
The technical support team is well qualified and experienced,
capable of handle in field events and to provide remote
support using state-of-the-art equipment, ensuring reliable
operation to the equipment.
