    Social media

    -Advantages and disadvantages-

    Nowadays, many people think that social media has replaced the traditional ways of

    communication. There are though advantages and disadvantages.

    First of all, one of the advantages is that it is easy to use. It is accessible to everyone who has a

    gadget. Because of its popularity, many persons around the world use it to communicate with their

    friends and relatives. Moreover, we use forms of media to share information using the internet.

    Also, their purpose is to give us another form of entertainment.

    Secondly, a disadvantage related to media is that we sometimes need a last generation gadget to be

    able to enjoy all the facilities we get from it, but sometimes we can’t afford it. Also, accessing these

    types of platforms could become addictive. In general we waste a lot of time scrolling down on the

    feed and on our “for you” pages.

    Moreover, most of the world's population is active on Internet with at least one Instagram,

    WhatsApp or Facebook account. In this sense those apps have become more and more popular and

    is being used by everyone.

    To sum up, in my opinion social media is accessible to almost everyone, can provide us

    entertainment, it eases our communication, but sometimes it is a waste of time.
