In conducting interview about the teaching approaches that a teacher uses/apply in teaching the subject

under K to 12 Curriculum. I interviewed Mrs. Annalene M. Capistrano, a Grade III teacher in Pedro
Guevara Elementary School. She said that she doesn’t use a specific teaching approach, she only uses
things that she thinks is helpful for her students to learn and collaborate in class. For her, carrying a
lesson plan is the number one tool that a teacher must have because a lesson plan is a guide to her
objectives.
She also stated that she always starts the day with a song and sometimes she makes them dance so that
it will awaken the students' minds. She always uses visual aids, pictures and videos when teaching
because more of the students today are visual and kinesthetic learners where they are more capable in
learning by watching videos and seeing pictures. She also stated that she uses minimal words and easy
words when teaching because she teaches grade 3 students. She also added that she always gives an
activity to her students especially when she has urgent things to do since she’s a chairman of the grade 3
level but after the urgent things to do she always makes sure that whenever her students have
questions about the topic, she teaches them.
