Module 3 Pre-Activity: Think of the best teacher that you ever had last semester
who created a positive impact on you. Identify at least 5 of his/her characteristics
that facilitated your learning. List down these characteristics and write a brief
explanation beside each characteristic. You may or may not reveal the name of
this teacher. Be ready to share this in class.

Teacher: Rose Mary De La Pena (Theoretical Foundations of Nursing)

• Approachable: Although ma’am RM seemed scary at first, as the semester

continued I perceived her personality and realized how approachable she was.
This is an important trait as a teacher because I am aware that I can approach
her when I am unsure of a specific topic or if I am struggling educationally.
• Holds High Expectations: Ma’am RM always held high expectations from her
students. This encouraged us to always be prepared and obliged us to fully
understand our topics during presentations.
• Confident: Ma’am RM’s confidence is beyond the roof which boosted my
confidence as well, in which I applied during presentations, testing, and
collaborating with my peers.
• Patient: Ma’am RM’s patience assisted in my learning because she made sure
everyone grasped new concepts she taught before moving on to the next
• Practical: By using practical examples during lectures, this contributed to my
knowledge of the work field as a nurse.
