Qwirkle Solo Rules

By George Jaros – GJJ Games – http://georgejaros.com/GJJGames

Qwirkle Solo Rules are very similar to the standard rules, with just a few changes.

Setup
Start the game with six tiles, just like in a standard game. If you cannot make a line of at least two tiles
to start the game, draw six new tiles and return the original tiles to the bag.

Throughout the game you’ll discard tiles. Keep the discarded tiles in a pile away from the rest of the
tiles. You’ll need to count them at the end of the game.

Each Turn
Following standard Qwirkle placement rules:

- On your first turn create the longest line of tiles you can.
- On future turns play as many tiles as you like (to a single line), but you must place at least one
tile if able to.
- If you ever cannot place a tile you must discard all six tiles from your hand and, optionally, as
many already placed tiles as you like.

Track your score as you would in a standard Qwirkle game.

After placing tiles, choose one from the remaining tiles in your hand to discard. You must discard one
tile, unless you were fortunate enough to place all six tiles.

Then, draw back up to six tiles.

Game End
Continue playing tiles and discarding one until you can no longer draw back up to six tiles.

When you cannot draw back up to six tiles, discard the remaining tiles and end the game.

Your score is the total of your score, minus one point for each discarded tile.

300+ points – Excellent!

251-299 points – Great Job!

201-250 points – Pretty Good.

150-200 points – Keep Working.

Under 150 points – Try Again.
