Being a coastal town in Northern Samar, San Jose must be a place one

should tick off on their bucket list. Islets within its municipal waters are surely to

die for. Aside from that, this town is perhaps the best source for fresh marine

products in the entire province.

San Jose is the travel spot for adventurers who love hopping from one tiny

island to another. Plenty of islets surround its northern coast—making it perfect

for this season.

Cabaungon (or Cabanongan) Grande, Cabaungon Pequiño, Tandang,

Pangilala, Puropangdan, Matungko, and Maghungaw. These are the islets that

SJ is truly proud of. Each has their own distinct trait. For example, Tandang is

best for camping as it offers a raw experience with nature. Pangilala, on the other

hand, is budget-friendly and most loved by locals.

The home to beautiful islets is not only popular for salty seas. It is also

complimented for its marine products. Fish, crustaceans, and other hydrogen-
living animals. Plenty of Carangianons, what the locals are called, survive by

selling or catching them. The town is visited by people from other places just to

purchase.

San Jose could not be described fully by just an article featuring how

remarkable it is. One must take the time to visit and savor its beauty. So, if you're

looking for a place to stay this summer, San Jose is the way to go.
