Closing Process Group

- PMI defines the Project Closing process as "formalizing acceptance of the project or phase and bringing it to an orderly end."
- Formal acceptance should be provided to the seller, in writing, by the person responsible for contract administration.
- Lessons Learned is a formal document that serves as a journal of the experience of the project manager, the project team, and the stakeholders. The project team
and the project manager complete the Lessons Learned document. It becomes part of the project archives so that other project managers can learn from their
experience. Lessons Learned documents are not completed only at the end of a project, but throughout a project.
