Hello, welcome in your daily programme it's fourteen o'clock and today we’re going to talk about the

city of London.

As you know, London is the capital of the United Kingdom and she’s located in the South East of
Great Britain.This city has thirty million tourists by year and has eight million inhabitants and thirteen
million if you count the suburbs.

London is one of the most famous cities in the world and It’s a melting pot for all ethnicities and
cultures which is what makes the city so diverse. Historically London has been a cultural focal point
with many great renowned artists such as Shakespeare who's famous Globe theatre can be found in
London, or the famous model twiggy ... Today England remains one of the few countries still ruled by
a royal family, they take their place on the throne at buckingham palace in the center of London.
There is a lot of famous monument in london like Big Ben, Tower of London, Hyde Park or London
bridge.

More than 300 languages are spoken in London. In London there is the Indian quarter "Southall",
where you can find mainly local products. There is a Bangladeshi district called "Brick Lane" located in
the east of London where they found refuge when they arrived on the English territory. There is the
Chinese district "Chinatown" where you can find a large Asian population with their food culture,
noodles, soups... which is located in the Soho district. There are many Asian supermarkets and
restaurants.
