Explore the operation of differential BJT amplifier with resistive load;
Measure the common and differential voltage gains (Ac and Ad).
The common mode gain:
Construct the circuits shown in Fig.1.
with VCC= VEE=10V, R=100, RC1= RC2=2K, RE=10K Transistors Q1and Q2: (BC237B or BC547), 1. Ground the inputs and measure IC1(VRC1/RC1), IB1( VR/R). Compute , hie, Ad and Ac. 2. Apply a 20 mV amplitude, 1 kHz sine wave to both Vin1 and Vin2. Use the oscilloscope to display the output waveform at Vout1 and Vout2 and sketch them. What do you see at the output? Why? Deduce Ac.

The Single ended input mode:
Apply a 20 mV amplitude, 1 kHz sine wave to Vin1 and
ground Vin2 (Fig.2). 1. Use the oscilloscope to display the input waveform at Vin1 and the output waveform at Vout1 , Vout2 and sketch the results. 2. Measure the peak voltage of the signal and calculate the differential gain of the circuit. 3. Compare the obtained results with the hand calculated gains. 4. Compute the Common mode rejection ratio (CMRR). Discuss your results. Fig.2
