Generation Z, also called Gen Z, is the generational

cohort following millennials, born between the late
1990s and early 2010s. The 'Z' in the name means
"zoomer", as this is the first generation known to
'zoom' the internet. Most of those who are a part of
Gen Z are the children of Generation X. Did you know
that Gen Z’ers are the true “digital natives” born into
the era of Wi-Fi, Google and social media?
They may be the true digital natives, but they also
craveface-to-face connections. More than 90 percent
of Generation Z prefer to have a human element to
their work.
What are the values of Gen Z?
Gen Z is known for being resourceful, independent
learners who value diversity and inclusive culture
and place a priority on well-being and mental health
in the workplace.
GEN Z TIMES
Social media opened the door to sharing
perspectives.
Gen Z’ers are eager to share
their ideas and opinions and
have no problem challenging
the status quo. Gen Z has
never known a time without
social media. Social media
allows Gen Zers to expand their horizons, cross
borders, and become more educated on current
social issues. Gen Z is known for standing up for
their beliefs.
Gen Z is now the most entrepreneurial generation
ever, with 62 percent of Gen Zers indicating they
have started or intend to start their own
business.From YouTube
channels to beauty products.
GenZ is embracing
entrepreneurship.
Gen Z wants to have control
over their lives and enjoy what
they are doing. With Google, YouTube, and TikTok,
they have the world at their fingertips and can
figure things out for themselves without adult
supervision. They’re the first generation that
doesn’t need you (or any adult) for knowledge – they
can get it online. Because they are finding their
answers, they are doers and activists—they jump in
and do—which means they may ask for your
forgiveness rather than your permission.

Gen-Z and
music
One of the most important things for Gen-
Z is music. They mostly listen to music to
,,escape from reality,, . All teenagers have
different taste in music. Some of them
like to listen to Indie
and alternative
songs, some of them
like to listen to
Phonk, metallic,
melancholic, calm
and etc.
Did you know that
most of the teenagers
say that they can’t
imagine living
without music, they
say that music helps them feel
better. Also, the music app the
most teenagers use to listen to
music nowdays is Spotify

GEN Z TIMES

Whether you’re a baby boomer just now learning of

the newer generation or a millennial in a constant
battle with their younger peers, one thing is for sure
— Gen Z is making waves in the world of fashion
and there is no way to ignore them.
This is most evident on TikTok,
where Gen Z users are taking a
stand when it comes
some like to call them, have
canceled skinny jeans, to the
dismay and flat-out disdain of
Millennials and those who had to
suffer through wide-leg gauchos
and low-rise flares in their own
youth.Other
cancellations
include having
a side part in
your hair, the laughing-crying
emoji and rose gold, to name a
few. However, some fashion blasts
from the past are back in style
again according to Gen Z. This
list includes skinny baguette
handbags and platform shoes
from the early ’90s, biker shorts
from the 80’s, crew necks from the 60’s, and even
pearl necklaces from the ’20s.
Gen Z fashion trends are getting wilder and wilder.
some trends might seem confusing to older
generations.
GEN Z TIMES

Gen-Z
and Gen-Z is the youngest generation
with adult members (born 1997

proble
to 2013). According to 2020-
2023 data this is the most
stressed generation of all time,
ms teenagers nowadays have to
deal with actually big problems
which are social anxiety,
insecurities, depression, and big
struggles with mental health and school causes
most of these problems. this is the generation who
survived the global pandemic Covid-19, everyone
was locked down for almost two years and it had
one of the biggest influences on our lives. Most of
the old generations are not taking our problems as
actual problems, they are blaming
everything, our age, hormones, and
electronics and this is so wrong
because by the time they realize it
might be too late. Teens find comfort
in different things, but music and
social media are the most worked
ways. Teenage girls and not only,
face huge gender inequality.53
percent of Gen Zers report
significant stress surrounding sexual harassment
and assault reports. Gen Zers are changing the
conversation around mental health and are more
likely to report mental health concerns than other
generations.Because we are growing up with social

media, we are more open to sharing our personal
stories and struggles.

•Generation Z are the second “greenest
generation” – instead there has been a sharp rise in
environmental concerns across all generations.
However, they are perceived as such by the British
public, and we find that Gen Z and Millennials are
far more likely to feel guilty about their impact on
the environment than older groups.
•Gen Z are the most changeable in their attitudes
•Generation Z appear more financially optimistic
than millennials when they were the same age.
•As the oldest among the generation enter their mid-
twenties, become powerful consumers and begin to
vote, attempts to understand this cohort are
gathering pace. There are also signs that
generational income inequalities are weaker than
they were in the 2000s. However, this greater sense
of optimism will collide with an economic
environment that may prove to be as disruptive for Gen Z
as it was for Millennials. This clash is something

governments and companies should be aware of as
the generation continues to age.

Gen-Z and everyday life

Interestingly, Gen Z kick off their day by getting in
one or more of their five a day, with fruit making
the cut as one of the top breakfast choices of this
age group, unlike millennials. The top breakfast
choices for Gen Z include; cereal (64%) followed by
eggs (61%) and bread (52%) and fruit (52%

If Gen Z could be described using one word, what

would you select? We found than when asking Gen Z
how they describe themselves, the
top answer came out as ‘easy-
going’ (72%), in comparison to the
top trait of millennials as
‘reliable’. Other top traits of Gen Z
includes being friendly (65.52%),
motivated (62.07%), and down-to-earth (62.07%),
Lights, Camera, Action! Movie watching is not a big
pastime for Gen Z in comparison to
Millennials. Their type of movies
differs, too. Most Gen Z prefer
‘Comedy’, and millennials select
‘Action’.

Gen-Z and free time

GEN Z TIMES

Gen Z today spend their time differently than a

decade ago. They’re devoting more time to sleep and
homework, and less time to
paid work and socializing.
But what has not changed
are the differences between
teen boys and girls in time
spent on leisure, grooming,
homework, housework and
errands, according to a new Pew Research Center
analysis of Bureau of Labor Statistics data.
Overall, Gen Z (ages 15 to 17) spend an hour a day,
on average, doing homework during the school year,
up from 44 minutes a day about a decade ago and
30 minutes in the mid-1990s.
Gen Z is also getting more shut-
eye than it did in the past. They
are clocking an average of over
nine and a half hours of sleep a
night, an increase of 22 minutes
compared with teens a decade
ago and almost an hour more than those in the mid-
1990s. Sleep patterns fluctuate quite a bit – on
weekends, teens average about 11 hours, while on
weekdays they typically get just over nine hours a
night. (While these findings are derived from time
diaries in which respondents record the amount of
time they slept on the prior night.
