SOCIAL WELFARE OFFICER I

Duties and Responsibilities

- Conducts socio-economic survey and prepares a community profile of his/her area of assignment.
- Conducts social case study and prepare reports and recommendation for applicants for various
services.
- Initiate and organizes youth clubs, volunteer and parents clubs, to maximize delivery of services
and assure participation and involvement of the community.
- Inform, educated and motivates target clientele family planning.
- Conduct pre-marital counselling.
- Assist groups and communities see their needs, set priorities, alternatives and finally act on their
problems with the solutions they see as appropriate.
- Conduct feasibility study of projects recommended for Self-Employment Assistance Program.
- Acts as team leader in the impact area and provides leadership and technical assistance to his/her
team members.
- Prepare yearly operational plan for his/her area of coverage in cooperation and coordination with
his/her team members.
- Provide technical assistance to day care workers.
- Prepare and submit periodic reports.
