after my enrollment I assumed the position of a Lead Surveyor at Keltim Ideaz Consult. Keltim
Ideaz Consult (KICS) is specialized in providing consultants and engineering services to both
individual and industries.
At KICS we offer our clients with technical advices needed to acquire properties such as land,
buildings (completed /uncompleted, we also provide surveying services such as preparation of
base-map for planning, route surveying for rails, pipelines electricity power transmission lines,
we also demarcate large portions of lands to developer parcel size making sure it conforms
with Land use and spatial planning authority’s plan. We also prepare cadastral plans of varying
sizes of land to be used for registration, engineering surveying services such as setting out of
complex structures and levelling are also part of our core services.
During the year we have provided services to industries such as National Trust Holdings
Company Limited (NTHC), Strategic Properties and Investment Limited, Arab Contractors
Ghana Limited, Integrated Energy BV Ghana Limited and all African shipyard just to mention a
few. We have also served over three hundred individual developers over the years as well.
While serving at KICS, I assumed a statutory position as Survey Technician-National Service
Personnel at the Town and Country Planning department, Shama District Assembly in the
western region of Ghana. Some of my work schedule at T&CPD are, checking and reviewing of
plans, provision of technical support and taking charge of some core land surveying activities
since I was the only one with surveying background there at the time.
In a bid to improve my capacity in my discipline I enrolled in the School of Engineering, KNUST
in 2017 to pursue my degree in Geomatic Engineering and graduated with second class upper
in 2019.
A year after my graduation from KNUST, I got an appointment from Ghana National Gas
Company to serve in the position of a Geomatic Engineer with their Construction Management
Department.
At Ghana Gas my main responsibilities are to provide technical advice and to help in selection
of suitable project site and routes of gas pipelines, resolve any unexpected civil technical
difficulties and other problems that may arise from project site. I’m also responsible for
checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculation and review technical
reports submitted by our contractors.
Over the periods, I have also successfully completed the following training and courses in a bid
to build my capacity to be able to adequately discharge my duties. (a) Drone Pilot training from
the University of Mines, Tarkwa, (b) First AID training with National Ambulance Services, (c)
BOSIET CA-EBS at Rigworld Training Center and (d) Project Planning and Management from
GIMPA.
I have also done a few research from with the first one being in 2011 during my days in Ghana
School of Surveying and mapping on the topic “Application of Global Position System (GPS) in
responding to crime, 2011 with the Bank robbery being our case study. I also researched on the
spatial classification of cacao swollen shoot virus (CSSV) in the western north Region of Ghana,
2019, this was submitted to the Geomatic Engineering department (KNUST)in partial fulfilment
of the requirement for me to be awarded Bsc. Geomatic Engineering. I have also undertaken a
