• Global Positioning System (G.P.S.) is a

that provides reliable location and time
information on or near the earth surface when
and where there is an unobstructed line of
sight to 4 GPS satellites.
• Crime Response is the immediate action
taken by any security agency after any crime
or unlawful act have been committed by an
individual or a group of people.
AIM
•To demonstrate the effective use of GPS in
responding to crime (Bank Robbery)

OBJECTIVES
•To prevent as much as possible the rate of bank
robbery.
•To locate the hideout of thieves
•To arrest all who assist in robbery
METHODOLOGY
BACK GROUND
• The currency tracker uses a system known
as the Electronic Satellite Pursuit (ESP).
ESP is a cash recovery and apprehension
tool which provides quick and accurate
location of criminals, with the aid of GPS.

• It’s inactive while sitting in a bank teller’s

Cash drawer, with the power on low, and
activates only when it moves outside of there
reading field of a Magnetic plate
• At that point, it triggers an alert to security
personnel and police by e-mail, pager or SMS
to notify them that a pack is on the move .
RESULT
 With the immediate response from the nearest
police patrol team the robbers will be arrested

 The electronic satellite pursuit helped the

police to track the robbers to their hideout.
RECOMMENDATION
 Banks must be encouraged to employ GPS
currency tracker
 Adequate availability of the electronic satellite
pursuit with GPS in the country.
 The police service should patrol intensively
within banking areas.
 There must be an effective administration
system for street naming
