Grade 12 Work Immersion Insights

This document is a narrative from a Grade 12 student describing their notes from a class on work immersion concepts that they missed. The notes covered the significance of work immersion for graduating students, key terms, and that their placement would be with the local government of Bambang in either the medical or engineering department based on their future career. The student realized how important work immersion is for gaining real-world experience in their chosen career and developing important skills, as well as how difficult it is to catch up when missing a class discussion.

Narrative No. 1
Concepts of Work Immersion

On the 6th day of February, we welcomed the beginning of the second semester. First subject of
the day is Work Immersion where the teacher, Ms. Joan Cerezo, introduced to us the concepts of work
immersion. Unfortunately, I was not able to attend the class as I was absent this day so I asked a few of
my classmates for their notes on the topics I missed so I could study it.

I acquired the notes on February 9 (Thursday), from Deo, Ederlyn, and Frouline then that night, I
proceeded to write them in my notebook. Then, I read their notes about the concept of work immersion
and its significance to a Grade 12 graduating student as well as the seven important terms in the field of
work immersion. Deo also informed me that the work immersion partner institution is LGU Bambang,
the work immersion focal person is Ma’am Clarissa Silva, the principal, as well as that the work
immersion teacher is Ma’am Joan Cerezo. I sent chats to Deo via Messenger and he also told me Ma’am
Joan said that if a student’s future career is in the medical field, then the RHU is their area, and if it’s
engineering, then go for the engineering department.

Overall, I realized the significance of taking this work immersion subject to me as a graduating
grade 12 student. This work immersion will provide me with first-hand experience in my future career.
With work immersion, I will see and experience the real-life day-to-day situations of the career that I
will choose in the future live, and it will surely help me build crucial skills such as communication
skills, critical thinking skills, technical thinking skills, as well as in good character building. It will teach
me things that cannot be taught by books but only by experience. In addition to that, it made me realize
that missing a single class discussion is a lot harder than I initially thought so I probably will be taking
note of this in the future.
