My best teacher was Janett Carreño.

What made her memorable in my life was her way of being with me. Her
personality, because, she cared as much about my studies as she did about my personal live,
also, about my fears, worries, insecurities an sorrows. She always tried to help me, gave me
love and attention and scolded me when I did something wrong. It was so much her love to
me, that she became one of my best friends.

She knew about World History. She was my World History’s teacher. Also, she
knew about Art and English. By the way, she had an English degree. And she help pass the
Special English subject in my university career. She is an excellent teacher and person.
D. What makes you think of her/him now that you want to become a
teacher?
What makes me think of her, is her vocation to the teaching profession, because,
truly when you have a vocation you love what you do, and just like her, I love to teach
others English too which is very important for our life, because it opens a new world to
different possibilities, especially in the labor field.

2. After I read of 17 popular opinions about language learning and teaching, I

agree with the first option, “ languages are learned mainly through imitation”.
Because, in the first instance students or rather people learn a new language through
imitation. When a child is learning to speak he/she tries to imitate the sounds and
the same happens in this case with English or another language that you want to
teach. Therefore, of we have a model, someone to teach us, whom we try to imitate,
we will learn what they are taught us. In my opinion and as my own experience I
think that if you interact and try to imitate the sounds of speech, it allows you to
realize your mistakes and learn faster by pronouncing the words. In other words,
when you repeat sentences you have the posibility to retain more easily what you
are learning, just think of the way they taught us to talk, all of us have learned to
speak through listening and imitating sounds. So, when we repeat that we hear in
other language, we are simply using the same tools through which we learned to
speak our native language.
Make your own ideas
According with my experiences I think that the best way to teach and learn another
language is through repetition, imitation, simulation and using dynamic strategies such as
games, Role-playing, so that those who are learning a new language can interact with others
and exchange ideas and so on. Teachers can also realice each students’ weaknesses and
strengths in order to help them improve more every day.
In addition, teachers can create an environment where students have to speak only
the language that they are learning is of utmost importance because they must put their
lexicon to work and they learn to express theirself more easily just as thay begin to know
unknown words and they become more familiar with a new language which sooner tather
than later, they will be able to master.
