SDM Setup and Guidelines

Introduction
Due to a high volume of requests for the methodology, an installation file was created containing
all of the content available in the methodology. The installations files are as is and are not
supported. These files have been successfully tested on a Windows XP and Windows 2000
machine following the instructions below. The version of the methodology located on the
Avanade intranet is the official version of the Methodology. As maintenance is conducted on the
methodology and content updated, updates will be made available with the installation files via
software distribution:

under \\avanade-amer\software\<location>\Avanade\Methodology where location is either

Seattle, SantaClara, Singapore or Frankfurt.

Updates will come with instructions on how and where to update local versions. Periodically,
updates will be introduced into the installation and all distribution files will be updated. User’s will
be responsible for tracking their updates and versions.
