Context for this project-

XYZ is a small company specializing in medical scanners, parts manufacturing, and


maintenance. It has two offices; one in Montreal with 10 employees and another in Toronto
with 4 employees, and they have plans to open another one in Vancouver with 5 employees.
The Data center is in Montreal, Toronto employees are already connecting remotely to the
Montreal servers, and those in Vancouver will also use remote access.
All employees are equipped with a Dell Latitude 5400 Laptops with 256GB PCIe NV Me SSD and
8Gb DDRAM 4, Windows 7 Professional and Office 2010 Pro, and Sophos Pro antivirus in
addition to other professional software.
XYZ has published a request for offer (RFO) for its Montreal Data center migration and its
infrastructure update, as well as upgrading its PCs from Windows 7 Pro to Windows 10 Pro. You
work for ABC, an IT services provider, the selected tender that won the published RFO.

Step 1- Connect machines which are client and server.


Step 2- install DHCP on server 2008.

1. Open Server Manager

2. In the left pane click on Roles and in the center pane click on Add Roles
3. You might get a Before You Begin page next if it hasn't been disabled before this. It just
generally warns you that if you are going to install a role on this server to make sure that it has
a strong password, has the latest updates loaded, and has a static IP.

4. On the Select Server Roles page go ahead and place a check next to DHCP Server in the list,
then you can click Next.

5. The next screen discusses what a DHCP Server does, which we already covered but feel free
to read through it again. Once you are done go ahead and click on Next.

6. For the Select Network Connection Bindings page, the wizard will list out the network
adapters you have available to bind the server to for servicing clients.
7. Now we come to a new screen for Windows DHCP servers and it asks about configuring IPv6
Stateless Mode.
8. The installation results screen will show the status of the install, if everything went well you
should see Installation Succeeded. Click on Close.
Step 3- Migrate the machines to updated software.

 Back up all of your important documents, apps, and data


 Head over to Microsoft’s Windows 10 download site
 In the Create Windows 10 installation media section, select “Download tool now,” and
run the app
 When prompted, choose “Upgrade this PC now.”
 You’ll then be asked whether you want to keep your personal files or start
fresh. Remember: starting fresh or keeping your files still means that all apps and
settings will be deleted for the Windows 10 upgrade.
 Once the upgrade is complete, you should receive a digital license for Windows 10,
which can be found under Settings > Update & Security > Activation.
 Step 4- Install RDS.
 On the workgroup computer or DC, install the Remote
Desktop Licensing role service and the Remote Desktop
Session Host role service. To do this, follow these steps:
 Open Server Manager.
 Click Manage and select Add Roles and Features.
 Select Role-based or Feature-based installation.
 Select the computer as the destination server.
 On the Select server roles page, select Remote Desktop
Services.
 On the Select role services page, select the Remote Desktop
Licensing and Remote Desktop Session Host role services.
 Continue the installation. Select default values for the
remaining settings.
 DC step: Open Remote Desktop Licensing Manager, right-click
the server, and then select Review Configuration.
 Select Add to group.
 Restart the Remote Desktop Services service.
 Use one of the following methods to activate the RDS license
server:
 To activate a Windows Server 2012 RDS license server, see
 To activate a Windows Server 2016 RDS license server.
 Install the appropriate RDS CALs.
 Change the local policy of the computer to add your remote
desktop users to the Allow logon through Remote Desktop
Services local policy object. To do this, follow these steps:
 Open Local Security Policy.
 Navigate to Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\
Security Settings\Local Policies\User Rights Assignment.
 Double-click Allow log on through Remote Desktop Services,
and then select Add User or Group.
 Type Remote Desktop Users (or the user names of each user
account that you want to add, separated by semicolons), and
then select OK two times.
 Configure the Remote Desktop Session Host role service to
use the local RDS license server.
Step 5- Install SharePoint.

To start the download:

1. Click the Download button.


2. Select the check box for the desired installation language from the available choices.
3. Click Next.
4. Click Save to copy the disc image file to your computer.

To install SharePoint Server 2013:

1. Double click the disc image file to mount it as a drive on your computer.
2. Navigate to the mounted drive.
3. Run splash.hta to launch the SharePoint Server 2019 Start page.
4. Click Install software prerequisites to launch the Microsoft SharePoint 2019
Products Preparation Tool.
5. Follow the instructions in the tool to complete the installation of the software
prerequisites.
6. On the SharePoint Server 2013 Start page, click Install SharePoint Server to launch
Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013 Setup.
7. When prompted, provide a product key. You can use one of the following trial
product keys. The trial period is 180 days. You can convert to a licensed installation
at any time during the trial or after the trial has expired by entering the appropriate
product key in Central Administration.
 Enterprise trial product key: M692G-8N2JP-GG8B2-2W2P7-YY7J6
 Standard trial product key: F2DPD-HPNPV-WHKMK-G7C38-2G22J
 Note: You must use an Enterprise product key for SharePoint to enable Project
Server 2013.
Step 6- Install FTP and website along with certificate.
1. Proceed to Installation Type step and confirm Role-based or feature-based installation.
2. Proceed to Server Roles step and check Web Server (IIS) role. ...
3. Proceed to Web Server Role (IIS) > Role Services step and check FTP
Server role service. ...
4. Proceed to the end of the wizard and click Install.
Step 7- Create new group policy and configure it.
1. Open the group policy management console
2. Expand Domains, your domain, then group policy objects
3. Right click the default domain policy and click edit
4. Now navigate to Computer Configuration\Policies\Windows Settings\Security Settings\
Account Policies\Password Policy
Step 8- Access list on packet tracer software.
