Summary of The Pilgrim’s Progress

The first part of the book shows the place Noit Curtsea or Not cursed, in this place there are
many people who work hard for family and for themselves, one of them was Christian.
Christian has a family and children. One day one of the worker is missing, they went to its
house to confirm the situation, when they found that it really was they had to clean it’s
house. Christian was so curious about the place, while getting the paper he saw a book but
he haven’t have time to look at it because the supervisor has come. Christian was tired living
like that, he wants to find a place where he has his peace. One night he had adream that
Not Cursed will be destroy, he woke up and stand and read the book that he have found. He
read and read it until he have realize that he and his family should obey the book. When he
tell it to his wife, Christiana, she had confusion on her mind and with that she didn’t believe
to Christian, cause for her its just a book. As the story goes on, Christian didn’t lose his hope,
even though it was hard for him leaving his family, he just continue his journey. In his
journey he knew many people who teaches him different lessons. He knew evangelist who
told him to just focus on the light. But into every journey there was a problem. In the middle
of his journey, he saw a man who has his cany, every time he stump it to the floor, there
was a money and diamonds. Christian forgot to remember Evangelist’s reminder, he just
follow Walgy. And then another curses come but evangelist was there to help him. The
supervisor, Lux knew that he was trying to go to the gate. He also met the interpreter who
shows him about the situation that possible to happen. While walking there was a fug and
show a man who tries to deceive him by showing his family, the he remember the
interpreter said it was reminding him that there are many people who show him the wrong
way. After realizing it lux show his true face and they fight, Lux also promise that he will
come back and he disappear. After that he met faithful and evangelist who tell them about
their next journey. As what Evangelist said it will be a hard situation again for them. It was a
place where people sell everything, when they saw them, they immediately ask them what
they want. But Christian clear it to them that the thing that they’re finding wasn’t there. The
people who are selling got angry at him, so they send them to the court. While they were in
the court, the man who send them there call the witness. When the witness tell what
happen, they ask them what are they really finding, Christian answer that it was a crown
that will never disappear, a crown that has light that show peace, joy and love. They got all
surprise because they haven’t any of them. But still they send to the jail, but one of the
guard let him out and ask him if he can join, Christian agree with that when he knew that
the guard also finds the book. At the end of the story, was still hard for them because they
got to jail again! The giants was very angry to them, because they were it his shoes.
Christian remember again what the interpreter show, it was a man in the jail. When he
realize it, there was a heart shining on his suit, and it was the key. After they got free from
the giants, they saw a shepherd remind them about the right path. But they fail the
supervisor of Lux got them but a personnel of the Lord has come and tell them about the
rule and the path. After they walk they saw a water gate. Evangelist convince them, but
when the man jump on it Christian wasn’t still ready, but he have to. When he jump on it he
saw lux killed him, but when he woke up he saw the shepherd and explain to him that the
blood that he saw was his blood.
Reflection:
As I have watch the story, I can really see that it shows, us. It shows that while walking on
our covenant journey, there were circumstances. But like Christian we should have faith and
jus believe. I can see that it was really us deceiving about money, family, people around us,
our field and everything in this world could be. But I was really touched by this, because
even though there were many hardships, he just believe. This movie make me realized that,
yes, I just have to believe. Even though sometimes I gave up, even small hard ships, for me it
was big. I think having this activity was really God’s perfect time schedule for me. Even
though there were hardships, I have someone with me, Christ. It was him, who died for me,
who shed his blood for me. Why do I have to go to the wrong paths or what? if he was
already here for me, waiting me to come with him. Even though how hard it was, He is here,
for me. This is the thing that every people has forgot, that Christ is the ONLY solution to all
of this! Having this kind of activity was so great, this was the thing that I am finding for!
Everything seems like problem for me this past few months but having this was different! I
really thank God for this! Truly, we have to listen and understand it. I am very thankful
having this kind of activity. May I truly have agreeing heart.
