Air Pollution

Now, let's proceed to air pollution. What comes to your mind

when you hear these words, "air" and "pollution"? Air, the matter
that surrounds us, the 'thing' that we breath in, and such. How about
"pollution"? We could say garbage, plastics, dirt, and such. So, is
air pollution are the garbages, plastics, and dirt in the air? Well,
let's find out.

Definition:
- The contamination of the indoor or outdoor environment
by any chemical, physical or biological agent that modifies
the natural characteristics of the atmosphere
- a mixture of solid and liquid particles and certain gases
that are suspended in the air

Sources:
-Household combustion devices
-vehicle emissions
-industrial facilities
-forest fires
-dust
-pollen
-mold spores, and etc

Effect:
-Can cause respiratory and other diseases
- important sources of morbidity and mortality
- According to WHO data, almost all of the global population
(99%) breathe air that exceeds their guideline limits
-And contains high levels of pollutants, which third-world
countries as the highest exposures that suffered greatly

Air quality is closely linked to the earth’s

climate and ecosystems globally. Many of the
drivers of air pollution (i.e. combustion of fossil fuels) are
also sources of greenhouse gas emissions. Policies to reduce
air pollution, therefore, offer a win-win strategy for both
climate and health, lowering the burden of disease attributable
to air pollution, as well as contributing to the near- and
long-term mitigation of climate change.

List of water pollution solutions:

1. wastewater treatment
2. green architecture
3. stormwater management
4. air pollution prevention
5. plastic waste reduction
6. Greenwater conservation
