Dear Clyde,

This week, video emerged of a massive gathering held by the

Christian nationalist organization Turning Point USA.

Charlie Kirk, the founder of the organization, spoke to hundreds of

pastors and promised to provide them with the most effective
means of brainwashing congregants in Christian nationalist ideology
—right before the 2022 election.

“We have 32 full-time people, all across the country that are
there to literally help you make this possible,” he said. “If you
want to bring a Biblical citizenship class to your church, we’re here
to make it happen. We’re already doing it with some of you in the
audience here.”

Turning Point USA Faith is only able to spread Christian nationalism

because of big funders who flood the organization with cash. “We
have amazing donors at Turning Point USA,” Kirk said. “Last week,
we nearly doubled the size of our staff.”
He revealed that a single donor funded the entire Pastors Summit—
after a single meeting: “We sat down and she said, ‘Charlie, what’s
the most impactful thing that is not yet currently funded that you
need help with?’ And I said, ‘Boy if we could get hundreds of
pastors together in August before [the] consequential fall
[elections], I think it could change the course of the country.’ And
she said, ‘Sure, I’ll fund the whole thing.’”

This is what we’re up against: Christian nationalists with

mountains of cash.

But nonreligious and religious Americans are joining forces to fight

Christian nationalism.

This week, Minnesota lawmakers launched a “Secular Government

Caucus” to stop theocracy and the further erosion of church-state
separation. One co-founder, Senator John Marty, is a Lutheran,
while Representative Mike Freiberg and Jennifer McEwen are
nonreligious. And 20 more lawmakers have joined this caucus!

We are working with national partners to help launch similar

lawmaker caucuses to address Christian nationalism in more states.

At the same time, our state advocacy teams—in Virginia,

Florida, Colorado, and elsewhere—are taking on Christian
nationalism in their communities.

This week, our Virginia Secular Legislative Advocacy Team brought

together Equality VA, the ACLU of VA, the VA Coalition for Sex Ed
Reform, a VA abortion fund, Compassion & Choices, and State
Senator Hashmi in order to build power and fight Christian
nationalism.

Our teams are not only speaking out against negative bills but also
pushing for positive legislation to defend the separation of religion
and government.

We’re not Turning Point USA Faith with billionaires writing

us massive checks to lie to the American people and distort
history. But we have all of you—and your support.

With Christian nationalists fighting tooth and nail to destroy

our country, we have to stand together. Whether you can
give $5, $50, or $500—or even more—you can make a
difference in this fight.

Sincerely,

Nick Fish
President
