Written Speech Leader, whenever I heard this, my first thing that comes to my mind is power, authority and hierarchy but can you say that a leader is great when they have those traits? How to know if they’re leadership is effective? Dear friends and colleagues, I am grateful for the opportunity to speak to you about my natural abilities and how I plan to nurture them. As someone who has a strong inclination towards leadership and logical thinking, I believe that I have a unique perspective that can contribute positively to any team or organization to become effective leader. As Diogenes (332) once said, "You will become a teacher of yourself when for the same things that you blame others, you also blame yourself." In keeping with this sentiment, I intend to hold myself accountable for my own growth. I will seek out feedback from colleagues and actively reflect on my own performance, always striving to improve. By taking ownership of my own development, I can lead by example and inspire others to do the same and that’s me as a team player. However, I am also aware that these abilities require continuous refinement and development to truly excel. I aim to use a framework for categorizing educational goals like Bloom's Taxonomy, to challenge myself to higher levels of thinking. I want to move beyond simple memorization of a concepts to analyzing, evaluating, and creating new ideas. Through critical thinking, I will learn to question assumptions and develop more nuanced perspectives. Additionally, I recognize that no great leader works alone. By emphasizing collaboration, I should adapt in every environment that I’ll work with. Communication is important to convey my message clearly and creativity to motivate my team to reach their full potential I will harness the power of a diverse team to drive innovation and achieve our goals. Therefore, I am committed to investing time and effort in self-improvement through reading, networking with like-minded individuals, seeking out mentorship opportunities, and taking on challenging projects that will allow me to put my skills to the test. I am confident that with hard work and dedication, I can achieve my full potential and make meaningful contributions to any team or organization that I am a part of. Again, the key of success is to self-growth by habit of studying, focusing on my strengths, work on my flaws and criticize myself. Then, I will be a strong model that will show my good attitude towards other to become great team player. It is crucial to prioritize the growth and development of others after I progress. “But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant.” Matthew 20:26 simply tells us to become effective leader you must know your team like you was just a member.
