DAY 1

1. INT. MANILA AIRPORT. DAY.

Up whimsical, romantic music.

We are at the Manila International Airport. Chaotic, bustling with activity.

We see OFWs being reunited with their families, couples embracing, seeing each
other for the first time in a long time.

We hear PRINCESS’ VO.

PRINCESS (VO)
Lahat tayo, may kanya-kanyang kappy ever after.
Para sa iba, ito ‘yung makasama ang pamilya nila. Sa iba naman
yumaman.
Basta, ‘yang happy ever na ‘yan sure na ‘yan! We just have to
find it.

Then we see Princess, clad in yellows and pinks and her Disney character tee.
She doesn’t mind all the chaos. She’s in a hurry and she’s excited. This is PRINCESS,
19 years old, pretty, childlike.
Rolling right behind her is her Minnie Mouse-themed carry on luggage.

PRINCESS
Ako, malapit na malapit ko nang makuha ang happy every after
ko!
I’m on my way to my favorite place on earth…Disneyland!
At doon…doon mangyayari ang pinakamasaya, at pinaka-
romantic na bagay sa buong buhay ko…
Magpo-propose na ang boyfriend ko!!!

Then we see a really good-looking guy, the stuff of every girl’s most romantic
dreams. This is BASTI, 19, rich and handsome.
He smiles…and everything in the world is all right.
He waves to someone, presumably Princess.
We see Princess smiling at someone, presumably Basti.

PRINCESS (VO)
I can’t wait for the rest of my life to begin…

We see Basti walking towards someone, Princess too. It seems they’re about to meet
each other…it’s a movie-like moment...
But no, they pass by each other.

Then we see that Basti is actually waving to a friend he has run into at the airport.

BASTI (to friend)

Hey, saan flight mo?

FRIEND
Singapore…business..you?

BASTI
Hongkong…

Princess is smiling at a security personnel.

PRINCESS
Good morning Kuya!

SECURITY PERSONNEL
Good morning mam!

Basti and Princess actually don’t know each other.

Well, NOT YET.

CUT TO

2. INT. AIRPLANE. DAY. BINGO INCIDENTAL

We’re now inside the plane, and Princess is fast asleep, her arms wrapped tightly
around some random guy’s arms.
The guy awkwardly figures out how to wake her up.

Then Princess wakes up. At first she thinks the random guy is taking advantage of
her.

PRINCESS
 Kuya! Tsinatsantsingan mo ba ako?!

RANDOM GUY
Huh? Eh ikaw nga ‘tong nakapulupot sa braso ko.

PRINCESS
Ah…hehe. Sarrey namen.
Nanaginip kasi ako!
Nandu’n na daw ako sa parade, ang ganda, tapos lahat masaya!
Pero siyempre ako ang pinakamasaya!
Alam mo ba kung bakit?!

Random guy tries to answer but-

PRINCESS
Kasi magpo-propose na sa akin ang boyfriend ko!
Alam mo high school sweetheart ko ‘yun! Pero hindi kami
magkabatch, ahead siya sa akin…do’n na siya
nagtatrabaho sa Hongkong…two years na! Tapos last week
lang, agad-agad pinapapupunta niya ako sa Hongkong!
Kailangan daw namin mag-usap!
This is really is it! Hihingin na niya ang kamay ko.
At ibibigay ko naman! Kanyang kanya na!
Pagdating ko do’n it will be the happiest day of my life!!!

Princess keeps on talking until she realizes that the random guy beside her has
fallen asleep. On her shoulder!

PRINCESS
Kuya? Kuya! Tulugan ba ako?!

As we pan, we see that on the opposite side of the plane is Basti, who has now
noticed Princess. He seems a bit annoyed.
Princess doesn’t know it yet, but Basti will play a huge role in her life for years to
come.

3. EXT. HK TARMAC. SAME DAY.

Princess is dragging behind her carryon luggage. She’s trying hard to keep up with
an old woman who is surprisingly sprightly.

PRINCESS
 Alam mo ba Lola, ten years old pa lang ako, favorite place ko na
ang Disneyland!
Actually before pa, pero syempre di naman kami kayamanan,
di kami makapunta ng US para makita sina Mickey at
Minnie.
Pero nung dumating and Disneyland sa Hongkong…best day
ever!
Mula noon ipinangako ko na sa sarili ko na balang araw babalik
ako dito. Na balang araw magiging part ako ng Hongkong
Disneyland!
Heto na siguro ‘yun!
Sino ba naman ang mag-aakala na dito pa pala magpo-propose
ang boyfriend ko?!

The old woman sprints ahead of Princess, not wanting to hear any more of her story.
Princess stops, running out of breath.

PRINCESS
In fairness sa ‘yo Lola ah…lagi ka siguro nagka-cardio!

Basti walks past by her, carrying nothing but an overnight bag, giving her a quizzical
look.

4. INT. HK INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. SAME DAY.

We focus on a mound of luggage on the conveyor belt. There are probably five
suitcases stacked on top of the other, all Frozen-themed.

Of course, these belong to Princess, who’s now talking to a couple about getting
proposed to at Disneyland. They’re just politely nodding their heads to her story but
the seem trapped.

PRINCESS
Alam n’yo ready ako eh! Girl scout yata ako!
Naghanap na ako ng trabaho online, just in case hindi na niya
ako pauwiin. Dito na ako, dala ko na lahat ng gamit ko,
pati takure bitbit ko!
Pero syempre di ako titira sa kanya hangga’t hindi kami kasal!
Dalagang Pilipina pa rin naman ako! Hindi ako easy-to-get!
Kaya kahit mahal, pikit-mata akong nagbook ng hotel.
Sana makahanap agad ako ng matitirahan…

Princess approaches her luggage and tries to carry them but they’re heavy, she
would need help.
 PRINCESS
Ang bigat naman…baka ho pwede ninyo akong tulung-

When she turns around there’s no one there.

She realizes she’s the only person left at the luggage area.

PRINCESS
Kaloka, all by myself na lang pala ako dito.
Pero keri, Disneyland, malapit na ako!!!

Princess tries to lift a suitcase and she stumbles instead.

Basti walks by her, pretends to not see her, busy with his phone.

PRINCESS
Okay lang ako…promise okay lang ako…

5. INT. DISNEY TRAIN. SAME DAY.

Princess is on board the special MTR to Disney and she can already see some parts
of the compound from the train. She can barely contain her excitement!

PRINCESS
And you know…that thing…that…
(to herself) Nakalimutan kong magbaon ng gamot sa sakit sa
ulo, nosebleed naman ako sa mga ito…
(to the foreigners)
‘yung ano! Yung malaking ride…The big ride!
Sasakay kami doon! At doon magpo-propose ang boyfriend ko!

FOREIGNER
Wow! Your boyfriend is going to propose?!

PRINCESS
Boom panes, naintindihan din ako!
Yes! Isn’t that amazing?!

We see Basti standing quite near them, this time fully noticing Princess.
This time too he’s really annoyed so he just wears his earphone to block Princess
out.

FOREIGNER
Yes, good luck!
 PRINCESS
Oh I don’t need luck…

Princess approaches the glass door, she sees a portion of the Disney compound from
there. Her heart fills with gladness.

PRINCESS
Sabi nga ni Tiana sa Princess and the Frog…
Fairy tales can come true. You gotta make them happen.
It all depends on you!

Princess looks on, happy, hopeful.

Then the train stops, the door opens and there’s a sudden outpouring of people
going out the train. Princess’ moment is destroyed as she’s pushed this way and that
by people coming in and out of the train!

6. EXT. HK DISNEYLAND GATE. SAME DAY.

Princess finally arrives at the HK Disneyland gate!

She feels like a child again.

PRINCESS (VO)
Disneyland! At last nagkita ulit tayo!
At kahit konti, hindi nabawasan ang magic na meron ka.
Feeling ko ten years old ulit ako!

Princess sets up her camera and selfie stick, takes a selfie and posts it on IG.
She captions it with CAN’T WAIT TO GO IN!

Meanwhile, Basti is there, also taking a picture of the Disneyland façade.

He posts it on IG and captions it with STILL WAITING….

He sighs with disappointment.

7. EXT. HK DISNEYLAND. THAT NIGHT.

We are at the Grand Disneyland Parade.

Everything is festive. Everyone’s having the time of his life.

Princess is there, waving at the Disney characters. She’s ecstatic.

PRINCESS
I love you Mickey!!!
I love you Minnie Mouse!!!
On her phone, she’s talking to Mae, her bestfriend in the Philippines via Skype.

PRINCESS (to Mae)

Oh my god, this is so fun! Sayang na-miss ni Brens ‘yung
parade…
Nasaan na ba ‘yung magaling kong boyfriend na ‘yun?

MAE
Ano ka ba… nandiyan na ‘yun! Surprise nga ‘di ba? Oh my
God girl! I’m so excited for you…

PRINCESS
Oh my God!!! I’m so kilig na friend! Tamang-tama, this parade
will change my life.

We hear Princess’ phone’s message alert tone go off.

PRINCESS
Oh sige na girl! Ayan na yata si Brens. Tawagan ulit kita
mamaya ha!

Princess hangs up and checks her message. It is from Brens. But this is what Brens
texted her.

BRENS (VO)
Princess, I’m so sorry. Gusto ko sanang sabihin sa’yo ito ng
harapan dahil minahal rin naman kita at may pinagsamahan
tayo…but I can’t.
Patawarin mo ako at naduwag ako.
I’m in love with somebody else.
Princess, hindi na kita mahal. Tapusin na natin ang relasyon na
‘to.
You are free.

Princess couldn’t believe what she is reading.

PRINCESS
Joke ba ‘to? Hindi nakakatawa ha.
Brens! Brens nasaan ka? Lumabas ka na…Brens!

People around her start looking at Princess. She’s embarrassed.

PRINCESS
Sira ulo itong mokong na ‘to ha…lolokohin pa ako…
Princess dials Brens’ phone. All she gets is a ring tone.

PRINCESS
Walang hiya ka Brens! Sagutin mo ‘to! Huwag mong gawin
sa’kin ‘to…Brens…

On her last try, she gets the “The number you have dialed is currently unattended or
out of coverage area.” message.
Princess starts crying.

PRINCESS
Brens naman eh…akala ko mahal mo ako…’yun pala iiwan mo
lang ako…

Amidst all the people who are happy and dancing is Princess, miserable.

Then suddenly, we’re looking at here from the POV of a cellphone video camera.

8. INT. ROOM – DISNEYLAND HOTEL. NEXT DAY.

Princess wakes up, still looking glum.

She checks her phone and what she finds, surprises her.

PRINCESS
Luh? 80 messages?! And 60 missed calls?! Anyare?

Just then, a call from Mae comes in.

MAE
Girl ano na? Pinag-alala mo naman kami! Akala ko tumalon
ka na sa kung saang building diyan!

PRINCESS
Bakit ko naman gagawin ‘yun? Eh hindi lang naman si Brens
ang lalaki sa mundo…

MAE
Sure ka? Kasi kung maka-iyak ka kagabi, wagas!

PRINCESS
Syempre! Ikaw ba naman…umasa ka na magpo-propose ‘yung
boyfriend mo-
Teka…pa’no mo naman nalaman na wagas ako maka-iyak eh
tinext lang naman kita tungkol sa nangyari kagabi?!
 MAE
Girl…check din tayo ng Facebook kapag may time! Kasi, baka
viral sensation na tayo…nang wala tayong kaalam-
alam….

Princess opens her laptop and goes on facebook. First thing she sees is a video of her
crying at the parade. It has hundreds of thousands of likes and just as many shares.
Princess’ heartbreak has now gone viral!!!

GAP 1

8B. INT. ROOM – DISNEYLAND HOTEL. NEXT DAY. CONT.

We open with Princess’ ugly cry-face.

PRINCESS
Waah! Yung totoo, ako si Princess, prinsesa ng kamalasan?
Iniwan na nga ng bowa, pinagtawanan pa sa tanang world wide
web!!!

MAE
Sandali ha, screen capture lang kita…

PRINCESS
Bakit?

MAE
Parang mas bongga ang iyak mo ngayon eh, ipo-post ko din.
Malay mo ma-Ellen ka na!

PRINCESS
Pati ba naman ikaw?!

MAE
Joke lang!

PRINCESS
Alam mo si Brens, kahit gago siya, mapapatawad ko pa siya eh.
Siguro nga gano’n talaga, he fell out of love. Ang tagal na rin
naman namin hindi magkasama…
Sinabi naman niya na mahirap talaga ang long distance
relationship…
(slowly gets worked up)
Pero itong kumag na…WeTube user na Basti Rivera na ‘to…
 (we see that Princess is looking at Basti’s WeTube profile page)
Ano naman ang kinalaman nito sa buhay ko?! Ano naman ang
atraso ko sa kanya?! Bakit niya ginawa sa akin ‘to?!?!?!

MAE
Hello..Hello…may sinasabi ka? Choppy eh. Ulitin mo nga!

PRINCESS
Wala!
Ang sabi ko, kung sino man ‘tong Basti Rivera na ‘to,
gagawa at gagawa ako ng paraan na makapaghiganti
ako sa kanya!

9. EXT. HK DISNEYLAND – GATE/NATHAN ROAD/. DAY.

A year has passed.

Princess is now a little bit older, a little bit wiser. But still childlike in her
disposition. Or at least in her Disney-themed OOTD.

She is walking with Sam, a good-looking and genial guy. He’s protective and
brotherly to Princess.

PRINCESS
Kuya salamat ha sinamahan mo ako…isang araw na nga lang
ang Day Off natin sa store, kinuha ko pa.

SAM
Akala ko nga hindi makikipagpalit sa akin ng off si Raezel eh.
Excited din naman ako…maniniwala ka ba, halos dalawang
taon na ako sa Hongkong ‘di pa ako nakakapunta sa
Disneyland?

PRINCESS
Talaga ba?! Samantalang ako, halos every month dumadalaw.
Minsan nga nagi-guilty na ako, imbes na ipadala ko sa amin-

SAM
Hep, kwentong Pinas ba ‘yan? Baka mag-iyakan tayo ah.

PRINCESS
Hindi naman. Pero ‘di ba, nagpapagamot si Tatay, tapos ‘yung
mga pamangkin ko nag-aaral na –

SAM
 Binibigay natin lahat sa mga pamilya natin pero minsan dapat
nagtitira din tayo sa sarili natin.

PRINCESS
Kung sa bagay, sa Disneyland lang ako talaga masaya…it’s the
happiest place on earth!

SAM
Talaga? Kahit na…

Sam acts out the now famous Princess in her crying video. He even exaggerates a bit
for comic effect.

PRINCESS
Grabe ka Kuya! Nako, panira talaga ‘yang video na ‘yan!
Buti nga hindi ko na siya masyadong nakikita sa Facebook.

Sam takes out his phone from his pocket.

SAM
Na-miss mo ba teka naka-save sa gallery ko –

Princess hits Sam in his arm.

PRINCESS
Kuya naman eh!

SAM
Joke lang, hindi naka-save dito.
Nasa isang phone ko.

Sam makes the peace sign.

PRINCESS
Basta! Sira ulo talaga ‘yung Basti Rivera na ‘yun kung sino man
siya!
Abot-abot na kahihiyan ang inabot ko dahil sa video na pinost
niya!

SAM
Ano’ng gagawin mo sakaling makita mo siya ulit?

PRINCESS
Humanda siya! Mata lang niya ang walang latay!
10. EXT. HK DISNEYLAND – RC RACER. DAY.

As fate would have it, Basti is at Disneyland at that same moment.

He’s with his girlfriend, a rich, snobby and mean girl type named SASHA.
Sasha seems not in the mood for Disneyland.

SASHA
When you said Hongkong, I thought fancy restaurants or
penthouse suites, not Disneyland! We’re not kids.

BASTI
I know pero masaya naman ‘di ba?

Sasha, in fact, looks bored.

BASTI
Look, the RC Racer! It’s one of my favorite rides.
Sakay tayo!

SASHA
You must be joking.
I’ll go look for an ice cream shop, sobrang init!

Sasha leaves Basti who decides to go for the ride alone.

At the same time, not far from where Basti is at, Princess is also asking Sam to get on
the ride with her.

PRINCESS
Sige na Kuya! Kalalaki mong tao eh!

SAM
Wala sa lalaki lalaki ‘yan! Pare-pareho tayong may puso, at
sinasabi ko sa ‘yo Princess, mahuhulog ang puso ko
kapag sumakay ako diyan!
Picturan na lang kita!

PRINCESS
Sige na nga! Scareee!!!

As both Basti and Princess take their seat, they settle in, get locked in, and the ride
starts to move, they realize that they are sitting beside each other!

PRINCESS
 Ikaw?!

GAP 2

11. EXT. HK DISNEYLAND – RC RACER . CONT. BINGO KILIG MOMENT

The ride slowly moves back and forth and everyone starts to shout.
Princess is shouting too, but for different reasons.

PRINCESS
Ikaw si Basti Rivera hindi ba?!

BASTI
Oo...why do you look familiar?

PRINCESS
Why do I look familiar?! Sinira mo lang naman ang buhay ko
animal ka! Aaaah!

Princess starts to hit Basti but gets scared when the ride hits a particularly scary
bump.

BASTI
Hey, watch it! Ano ba ang kasalanan—
Wait! Aaahhh…I get it! Crybaby!

PRINCESS
Crybaby crybaby ka diyan walanghiya ka!
Dahil sa ‘yo naka-plaster ang pagmumukha ko sa aaaaah!
Oh my god!
Sa FacebookTwitterInstagram!!!

BASTI
I didn’t mean for the video to go viral…
I was just thinking this girl’s so pretty, ano kaya ang iniiyak
niya?
Wooohoo!!!

Princess takes this in; this guy just called her pretty.

PRINCESS (VO)
Pretty daw ako?
(looks down, the ride has reached its zenith)
Oh my gooooood!!!
Oh my god oh my god oh my god!
Tama na…tama na please!
Basti notices that Princess is shaking.

BASTI
Hey…hey!

He grabs her hand. The ride hurtles down, fast!

BASTI
Look at me…tumingin ka lang sa mga mata ko…
Everything will be all right…

Princess does this and without realizing it, Basti and Princess are both looking at
each other’s eyes, sharing a romantically charged moment together.

12. EXT. HK DISNEYLAND –RC RACER. DAY.

Princess gets off the ride still a little bit dizzy and on wobbly knees.

BASTI
Careful, baka madapa ka.

Basti tries to assist her but Princess dismisses him.

PRINCESS
Hoy! Mr. Rivera, kung inaakala mo na quits na tayo dahil sa
ginawa mo sa akin, nagkakamali ka!
Sinira mo ang buhay ko!
I was heartbroken pero pinagtawanan pa ‘yun ng mga tao.
Hindi ‘yun mababawi ng pekeng Mr. Nice Guy act mo!

Then Sasha approaches them. She’s immediately jealous of Princess and becomes
catty.

SASHA
Hey babe…who’s she? One of your jologs exes?

BASTI
She’s nobody.

PRINCESS
Jologs?! Nobody?!
Eh di wow, kayo na ang mga matataas na tao.
Hoy babaeng kung makalaklak ng Gluta, wagas…
Ako si Princess Ann Sendo Macapugay!
 At may atraso lang naman sa akin ‘tong magaling na boyfriend
mo!

BASTI
Princess please. Wala akong masamang intention sa pag-post
ng video na ‘yun.
I’m sorry na you had to suffer because of it.
Pero kung hindi mo matatanggap ang apology ko, I don’t know
what else I can do.

Basti and Sasha walk out on Princess.

SASHA
Bye loser!

Princess is fuming mad.

PRINCESS
Talagang hinding hindi ko matatanggap ang apology mo…

She starts to formulate a plan.

13. EXT. HK DISNEYLAND. NIGHT.

Basti and Sasha are walking around the theme park, eagerly waiting for the parade.
Well at least Basti is eager.

BASTI
Magsisimula na ang parade any moment now.

SASHA
And then we can leave right?
I wanna go clubbing.

When out of nowhere, a pretty girl approaches them.

PRETTY GIRL
Basti…

BASTI
Yes?

PRETTY GIRL
How dare you!

She slaps Basti in the face. Everyone around them is stunned.

 PRETTY GIRL
Niloko mo ako…sabi mo ako lang ang mahal mo…

SASHA
Oh god, yet another cheap ex-girlfriend?!

Sasha then slaps Basti in the face!

RANDOM GUY
That has got to hurt…

Everyone is looking at Basti. He’s hurt and utterly humiliated.

Not far from where they are is Princess, hiding behind a pillar, watching the scene
unfold with malicious glee…

PRINCESS
O eh ‘di nakaganti din ako…

END OF DAY 1

DAY 2

1. EXT. DISNEYLAND. NIGHT. CONT.

Basti is stunned, and so is everyone around them. People start pointing at him and
talking about him.

Sasha starts to walk away. Basti tries to stop her.

BASTI
Sasha wait!
Let me explain!

SASHA
Ano’ng explain?
Hindi pa ba sapat ang nakita ko?

BASTI
But I don’t even know that girl!

SASHA
Alam mo, my friends warned me about you…they said you’re a
player…but I wanted to give you a chance…
Tama sila, you don’t deserve it.

Sasha walks away.

BASTI
Sandali…

People are cheering for Sasha, som even have some not too nice words for Basti.

RANDOM GIRL
Cheater!

RANDOM GIRL 2
(to Sasha) You go girl!

Basti is left devastated and humiliated.

2. EXT. HK DISNEYLAND – NEUTRAL. NIGHT

Princess and Sam are waiting for the fireworks display. Princess is ecstatic.

PRINCESS
Nakakatawa ‘yung mukha niya, parang masakit ang tiyan na
ewan!
Tapos ‘yung mga tao pinagtitinginan siya!
Buti nga sa kanya!
Buti na lang nakita ko ‘yung madalas nating customer sa store!
In fairness ha, magaling pala siyang umarte….

Sam looks at Princess, but won’t say a word.

PRINCESS
Galing ko Kuya no? Sabi ko sa ‘yo, makita ko lang ‘yung kumag
na ‘yun, gaganti ako eh!

SAM
Masaya ka naman sa ginawa mo?

PRINCESS
Oo naman!
At least kahit papaano alam na niya ‘yung feeling na mapahiya
sa harap ng maraming tao!

SAM
Bakit Princess, ano nga ba ang feeling na mapahiya sa harap ng
maraming tao?

PRINCESS
Grabe hindi mo kakayanin Kuya.
Yung feeling na sana lupa, kainin mo na lang ako.

SAM
Tapos pinadama mo ‘yun kay Basti ngayon.
Ano na ngayon ang pagkakaiba mo sa kanya?

This makes Princess think.

SAM
Akala ko ba, lagi ka lang positive, parang Disney…
Wala yata akong kilalang prinsesa ng Disney na naghiganti…

PRINCESS
Oh no! Tama ka Kuya Sam!
 Ano ba ‘tong nagawa ko?!

Then, by happenstance, Princess sees Basti from a distance, sadly looking up the
fireworks. She feels bad for Basti.
Princess realizes that Sam is right---

PRINCESS
Mag-aapologize ako sa kanya…

She tries to approach him and comfort him but she loses Basti in the crowd!
She can’t seem to find him.

Then just like that the fireworks display is over and Basti is nowhere to be found.

Princess is sad and racked with guilt.

3. INT. HK DISNEYLAND HOTEL – LOBBY. DAY.

Another year has passed.

We open at the Disneyland Hotel lobby, busy, bustling with fun and energy.

Princess is now a chambermaid at the hotel and she seems really happy!
She’s pushing a cart of cleaning materials.
Walking along with her is MANANG HELEN, a kindhearted woman in her forties,
loving and maternal, and who i s the head chambermaid at Disneyland Hotel.
She has with her a chart that she uses to check the rooms, etc.

PRINCESS
Good morning Manang!

MANANG HELEN
Good morning!
O Princess huwag kang mawawala sa Linggo ha.
Nung nakaraan absent ka sa yoga class.

PRINCESS
Ang layo layo naman kasi ng Central Manang Helen!

MANANG HELEN
Bakit hindi ka ba pupunta ng Worldwide para magpadala?

PRINCESS
Parang mas gusto ko pang kumuha ng shift na lang.
 MANANG HELEN
Ano? Rest day over time na naman!
Kakabahan na ba ako? Baka sa isang taon palitan mo na ako,
ikaw na ang head chambermaid dito sa Disneyland
Hotel!

PRINCESS

Kasi naman Manang, hindi naman talaga trabaho sa akin ‘tong
ginagawa natin dito.
Araw-araw nasa Hongkong Disneyland ako!
Choosy pa ba?!

MANANG HELEN
Kung sa bagay…lahat naman tayo dito maswerte.
Yung anak ko nga Princess, hindi ko pa yata nakukuwento sa
‘yo…si Malen –

PRINCESS
Yung nagba-ballet?

MANANG HELEN
Oo ‘yun! Naku, nakuhang dancer sa park! Dito na siya
magtatrabaho sa isang buwan!
Sa wakas magkakasama na kami!

Princess hugs Manang Helen.

PRINCESS
Manang Helen I’m so happy for you!
 Alam ko matagal mo nang pinapangarap na makapunta dito
‘yang anak mong ‘yan! At dancer pa sa park!

MANANG HELEN
Ano ka ba, nag-audition lang siya.
Eh ikaw ano ba’ng talent mo? Eh di mag-audition ka rin!

PRINCESS
Kumakanta ako noon sa choir sa simbahan, saka nagsusulat ng
mga kanta…
Pero good luck naman ang gagaling ng mga singers natin!
Kakabogin ko ba ang mga ‘yun?!

MANANG HELEN
Eto naman, hindi mo pa nga sinusubukan…
Alam mo, ito, lagi kong sinasabi sa anak ko ‘to…
Lahat tayo may gintong natatago sa loob natin…kailangan lang
nating tuklasin…

This makes Princess think.

Then a guest gets out of a room and passes by them.

MANANG HELEN
O sige na, magche-check na ako sa kabilang side. Kaya mo na
‘yan ha.

PRINCESS
Yes Manang!

Manang Helen walks away.

Princess is about to enter the room assigned to her.
She’s unsure whether to make up the room or not as the sign on the door is on the
floor, it fell, but since the door is open, she decided to go ahead and clean it.

5. INT. ROOM – DISNEYLAND HOTEL. DAY. BINGO INCIDENTAL.

Princess is about to start cleaning the room as she thinks about what Manang Helen
just said.

PRINCESS (VO)
Nakaka-inspire naman ‘yung sinabi ni Manang Helen…
Parang linya sa kanta…

She starts humming the music and putting melody into the words.
 PRINCESS (VO)
…Natatagong ginto…lihim na ginto…
Lihim mong ginto…tuklasin…

Princess finds a pack of Bingo lying on the table and she smiles.

PRINCESS (VO)
Wow naman! Pinoy pala ang nag-stay dito.
May baon pa si kabayan!
Na-miss ko tuloy ang ‘Pinas!

She starts cleaning while humming the words she’s forming into a song.

PRINCESS (VO)
At ang lihim mong ginto…dapat tuklasin…
Ay ‘yong tuklasin…

When all of a sudden, she hears someone coming out of the shower.

PRINCESS (VO)
Luh?! May guest! Akala ko walang tao!

She panics, she though the room was empty! She’s not supposed to be there!
She picks up her cleaning implements and makes a quick dash for the door when all
of sudden, the shower door opens and out comes Basti, in a towel, almost naked!

PRINCESS
Aaaah!

BASTI
Aaaaah!

Both of them scream and panic.

Basti doesn’t know what part of his body to cover!
Princess tries to cover her eyes!

Then Basti’s towel gets stuck in the shower door and it gets worse! Now he’s really
almost naked!

PRINCESS
Sorry po!!!

Princess doesn’t have a choice but to bolt out of the room, screaming.

5. INT. HALLWAY – DISNEYLAND HOTEL. DAY.

Princess is in the hallway, waiting for Basti to come out. She’s animated and doing
the sign of the cross.

Then Basti comes out of the door, furious.

BASTI
You! Ikaw na naman?
Why do I keep on bumping into you?
Are you stalking me?!

It’s Princess’ turn to get mad.

PRINCESS
Huwaw! Hiyang hiya naman ako sa ‘yo.
Artista ka eh. Si Brad Piitt ka eh.
Ang lagay nag-costume pa ako ng ganito para lang makita ka?!

BASTI
Malay ko! Lagi kitang nakikita dito sa Disneyland eh!

PRINCESS
Hoy Mister, hindi sa ‘yo umiikot ang mundo!
Eh sa dito na ako nagtatrabaho eh.
At bakit naman kita ii-stalk, ano naman ang mapapala ko sa ‘yo!

BASTI
Eh kasi obsessed ka pa rin about that video I made, like what,
two years ago?!

PRINCESS
Hindi na! Okay na! Quits na tayo no!

INSERT QUICK FLASHBACK OF SASHA SLAPPING BASTI

BASTI
What do you mean quits?

PRINCESS (realizing Basti doesn’t know about her revenge

scheme)
I mean…wala! I mean, get out of my way and let me do my job!

BASTI

First you invade my privacy, now you’re arguing with me?!
 Gusto mo i-report kita sa hotel management?!

PRINCESS (suddenly turns meek)

Ay hindi…ano ba Sir Basti…huwag naman gano’n!
Ang tagal ko nang pangarap magtabaho dito sa Disney, I can’t
lose this job.
Babawi ako sa ‘yo! Gagawin ko kahit ano, huwag ka lang
magreklamo!

BASTI
Talaga…kahit…ano?

Basti is smiling at Princess now, clearly formulating a plan.

PRINCESS (unsure now)

Oo (swallows) Kahit ano…

6. EXT. DISNEYLAND HOTEL. NIGHT.

We are outside the hotel; Princess and Manang Helen are waiting for their service
that will bring them to their Quarters.
Princess is showing Manang Helen a picture of Basti through his IG.

PRINCESS
Manang ayan…ayan ha, tandaan mo hilatsa ng mukha ng
lalaking ‘yan!
Basti Rivera. Tandaan mo rin ang pangalan!
Para kahit ano’ng mangyari sa akin…may nakakaalam kung
sino ang kasama ko.

MANANG HELEN
Sige tatandaan ko siya…
Para sakaling mapanood ko sa HK News na nawawala siya,
pagtataguin na kita…
Eh ke gwapong bata nito, mukhang ikaw pa ang magtatangka
ng masama dito eh!

PRINCESS
Salamat Manang ha. Damang dama ko ang concern mo.

They laugh.

MANANG HELEN
 Pero seryoso, ‘di ba ang sabi niya isasama ka lang niya sa park?
O eh ‘di ba gusto mo namang pumupunta sa park? Tapos sagot
pa niya.

PRINCESS
Pero ‘yun nga, ang weird ‘di ba? Mag-isa lang siyang pupunta sa
park? Wala siyang kasama kaya ako ang isasama niya?

MANANG HELEN
Eh di ibig sabihin weird ka? Malay mo kagaya mo siya, mahilig
sa Disneyland. O, bagay pa pala kayo eh.

PRINCESS
Manang Head Chambermaid ka dito, hindi matchmaker.

MANANG HELEN
Hindi nga…bagay kayo…
Hay nako, tigilan mo na nga ako sa kagaganyan mo! Naaalala ko
lang lalo si Malen…
Kasing edad mo rin ‘yun eh…May nobyo na rin kaya ang batang
‘yun? Hindi ko alam eh…paano ba naman lumaki siya ng wala
ako sa tabi niya…

PRINCESS
Isang buwan na lang Manang…
Habang wala pa siya eh di ako muna si Malen. Ako muna ang
unica hija mo dito.
At dahil daughter mo ako, kapag may masamang ginawa sa
akin si Basti…

MANANG HELEN (faux stern)

Mananagot siya sa akin!

Princess and Manang Helen embrace. This establishes their closeness.

7. EXT. HK DISNEYLAND FACADE. NEXT DAY.

Princess and Basti meet up at the façade of the theme park.

When Basti sees Princess he smiles.

PRINCESS (VO)
In fairness, sobrang cute din naman talaga ng isang ‘to!
Hay nako Princess, Elsa mode on!
Bawal ma-attach!
Basti walks up to Princess.

BASTI
Let’s go I already have tickets-

PRINCESS
Hep hep hep.
Bago ako sumama sa ‘yo, mabuti nang nagkakaliwanagan
tayo…

Princess takes out a piece of stationery where she has listed her rules for seeing
Basti today.

PRINCESS
Rule number 1: No touching.
Rule number 2: No hugging.
Rule number 3: No pa-cute moments. Hindi mo ako madadaan
sa mga pangiti-ngiti mo.
At higit sa lahat: no videos, no selfies, no camera at all!
Maliwanag ba ‘yun?!

BASTI
Pero…pwedeng ma-in love? Wala sa rules ‘yun eh.

Basti smiles and leans in to Princess, as if to kiss her.

Princess doesn’t know what to say. Basti’s eyes have her spellbound.
Then Basti removes a stray leaf or piece of plastic from Princess’ hair.

BASTI
Saka sana pwedeng mag-salamin saka magsuklay.

Princess is embarrassed. She blushes.

Basti walks to the park entrance.

BASTI
Tara na!

Basti clarifies that there’s no need for such rules because he only wants to walk
around Disney with someone, not be her boyfriend. They then start to tour around
the theme park.

8. MONTAGE.

Cue romantic music/theme song.

8A. EXT. DISNEYLAND – PARARCHUTE DROP. DAY.

Princess and Basti are slowly going up the ride, and as they are coming up the top,
Basti is teasing her. He’s trying to scare her!

Princess then tries to cover Basti’s mouth but Basti tries to avoid, her, reminding
her…NO TOUCHING.

Princess then just covers her own mouth to hide her screaming.

8B.EXT. DISNEYLAND. DAY.

Princess and Basti are walking around.

They see a Disney character, a princess, and she approaches Basti.

Princess is so excited, she tries to get a selfie but she can’t get one without taking a
picture of Basti also.
Basti gestures, I thought NO SELFIES?

Princess then pushes Basti out of the way and takes her selfie with the princess.

8C. EXT. DISNEYLAND – CAROUSEL. NIGHT.

Basti and Princess ride the carousel.

Princess sees Basti happy, like a child. He even smiles at her.
Princess sees Basti as cute, but Basti is not trying to make himself look cute, he’s just
really having fun.

8D. EXT. DISNEYLAND – CAROUSEL. NIGHT. KILIG MOMENT

As Basti and Princess get off the carousel, Princess is still dreamy-eyed.

PRINCESS
Grabe the best talaga!
Kahit ilang beses kong ulit-ulitin hindi nakakasawa!

Basti looks at her and sees glee. Pure, unadulterated joy. Basti feels a certain
fondness for Princess.

PRINCESS
Alam mo ito ang paborito kong lugar sa buong mundo.
Ten years old ako noong una akong nakapunta dito.
Buo pa kami noon.
 Then nag-Saudi si Mama…hindi nila kinaya ni Papa ‘yung
pagiging magkalayo nila eh…eventually nakahanap din
siya sa Saudi ng bagong asawa….
Dito ‘yung last memories namin na masaya pa kami bilang
pamilya.

BASTI
I’m sorry to hear that.

PRINCESS
Okay lang, gano’n siguro talaga…
Kaya ang tagal kong pinangarap makabalik dito…
O di kaya maging part ng Disney…
Kasi feeling ko dito ako mabubuo…
Kaya nga gano’n na lang ang iyak ko nun sa video mo eh…

BASTI
Because you thought you’re boyfriend was going to propose…
Princess, I am truly sorry…

PRINCESS
Okay na ‘yun…sabi nga ni Rafiki:
The past can hurt, but the way I see it, you can either learn
from it or run from it…

BASTI
Lion King talaga?

PRINCESS
Naman! Memorized ko ‘yang mga lines na ‘yan.
Anyway, parang blessing in disguise nga ‘yung nangyari eh,
nakapagtrabaho ako dito, nakatulong ako sa pamilya
ko…
Siguro ‘yung love…darating na lang din ‘yun…

They look at each other meaningfully.

9. INT. MICKEY MOUSE CAFE. NIGHT.

Princess and Basti are seated at the Mickey Mouse café.

Basti is eating his Mickey Mouse pancakes with gusto.
 BASTI
Sarap! Alam mo ito talaga ang paborito ko dito.

He notices Princess looking at a family at the next table.

This family is happy as happy can be.

BASTI
Naalala mo ba ulit ang Mama mo?

PRINCESS
Ha? Hindi. Yung mga pamangkin ko.
Ganyang edad na rin kasi sila. Pangako ko sa kanila, balang
araw dadalhin ko sila dito.

BASTI
Mahalaga talaga sa ‘yo ang family mo no?

PRINCESS
Oo naman, sino ba naman ang hindi mapapaisip sa pamilya nila
dito?
It’s really a place for kids. Kid at heart lang ako.
Ikaw din malamang…kasi balik ka ng balik dito wala ka
namang kasamang bata.
Teka bakit nga ba balik ka ng balik dito?

Basti finishes his pancake and avoids the subject altogether.

BASTI
Alam mo, it’s late…
Mabuti pa siguro ihatid na kita sa quarters ninyo, baka ma-late
ka ng pasok tomorrow…

Princess wants to ask the question again but since Princess is sensitive to these
things, she senses that Basti is going through with something.

10. EXT. DISNEYLAND CAFÉ FAÇADE. NIGHT.

Princess and Basti are on their way out of the café when Basti’s phone rings.
Princess sees Basti’s face light up.

BASTI
Mom! How are you?
You got my message?
Princess walks away from Basti to give him some privacy but she can’t help but
notice how his mood changes as he talks to his Mom.

BASTI
So...you’re not coming…
Okay lang…no it’s…okay…
Sige…office ni Dad, talk about the second quarter action plan…
Okay…see you Mom…bye…

Basti hangs up, crestfallen.

Princess sees this, and she feels for Basti.

She thinks of something.

PRINCESS
Alam mo Basti, may isang attraction na hindi mo pa nakikita
dito sa Hongkong Disneyland…

BASTI
I don’t think so, I come here every year.
Sigurado ako ano man ‘yan nakita ko na ‘yan.

PRINCESS
Sumunod ka sa akin.

Princess runs and Basti tries to follow her.

11. EXT. DISNEYLAND PARK – SNOW WHITE AREA. NIGHT.

Basti arrives at an open area near the Snow White Castle.

From behind a pillar comes Princess, acting like Snow White.

PRINCESS
Na-miss mo ‘yung highlight ng Hong Kong Disneyland!
I shall now give you a performance you will never forget…

Princess starts singing her as of yet incomplete Findi Your Light song.

PRINCESS
Tayo’y managinip kasama ng mga bitwin…at ang lihim
mong ginto ay ating tuklasin.

As she sings this, Princess acts like one of the Disney dancers.
She performs with so much gusto. Basti smiles.
 PRINCESS (whispers)
Pasensya na hindi pa buo ‘yung song kaya finale agad…just
hear it in my sooonnngggggggg….

As she sings this part, Princess tries to spin and does a pirouette.
She loses her balance and almost trips.
Good thing, Basti catches her.
They both fall in the ground. Basti on top of Princess.

They almost kiss.

11B. EXT. DISNEYLAND. PARK.

Both Basti and Princess recover.

PRINCESS
Ayun…sorry ha…hindi pa kasi tapos eh…sinusulat ko pa
‘yung kanta….saka…tama ka at gabi na pala…sige na ba-
bye!

BASTI
Ah, wait! Ihahatid kita…

PRINCESS
Hindi na, okay na ako. Magpapasama na lang ako sa seven
dwarves. K. Thanks. Bye!!!

Princess runs away.

12. INT. PRINCESS’ ROOM. NIGHT.

Princess is about to sleep, writing her song on her bed.

PRINCESS
Just hear it in my song…

As she writes, she remembers the events of today.

INSERT FLASHBACK OF EARLIER ROMANTIC SEQUENCES.

We go back to Princess. She’s now smiling. She writes a line.

PRINCESS
 …you’ll find your light…there…

Princess smiles dreamily.

13. EXT. DISNEYLAND HOTEL – FAÇADE. NEXT DAY.

Princess is waiting for the shuttle when Basti arrives, bringing a bouquet of flowers.

PRINCESS
Luh? Ano ‘yan?!

BASTI
Gusto ko lang magpasalamat…
You made my Disney stay this year less lonely. In fact, it was a
lot of fun. And I’d love to spend some more time with
you.

PRINCESS (VO)
OMG…heto na ba ‘to talaga?! Siya na ba ang pinakahahantay
kong Prince Charming?!

But even before she can answer, a friend walks up to Princess, she’s not working at
Disney but who happens to be there. Princes freezes; ths is the girl whom she paid
to pretend to be Basti’s girlfriend from last year!

FRIEND
Mars! Kamusta na? Dito ka na pala nagwo-work…kaya pala
hindi na kita nakikita sa shop!

Basti notices the girl.

BASTI
Teka…’di ba ikaw ‘yung babaeng sumampal sa’kin last year?!
‘yung nagsabi na girlfriend ko daw?!

FRIEND
Hala mars! Nandito pala si pogi!

Princess doesn’t know what to say and what to act.

BASTI
Kilala mo siya? This girl who lied, at siyang naging dahilan ng
paghihiwalay namin nung girlfriend ko?!

Princess looks terrified.

PRINCESS
Huwag ka namang sumigaw…
Galit na galit kasi ako sa ‘yo no’n…
Napahiya ako sa maraming tao dahil sa viral video mo…
Naging meme ako!
Kapag may masamang bagay na nangyayari sa kahit kaninong
troll sa Facebook, mukha ko ang naka-display.
Alam mo ba ‘yung pakiramdam no’n?!

BASTI
Pero hindi ko naman sinadya ‘yun eh…
So gumanti ka?

Princess nods.

BASTI
Wow…And here I was thinking we’re connecting…’yun pala the
whole time tinatawanan mo ako behind my back…
Anyway, I hope you’re glad we’re now even.

Basti, disappointed at Princess, walks out on her.

2. INT. INDEPENDENT/QUARTERS. DAY.

Princess confides in Mae, her best friend from the Philippines via Telpad about what
happened.

PRINCESS
Waaah…ang tanga tanga ko!
Prince Charming na, naging frog pa.

MAE
Eh hindi mo kasi agad sinabi sa kanya…
Siguro ‘yun ‘yung mas masakit, ‘yung pakiramdam niya niloko
mo siya…

PRINCESS
Sasabihin ko naman talaga, ‘di lang ako makakuha ng tyempo…
Saka bakit ba siya nagagalit eh mabuti nga sinagip ko siya sa
wicked witch na ex niya!

MAE
Oh eh ikaw naman pala ang mabait na sumisira ng mga
relasyon bilang kawang-gawa sa kapwa…

PRINCESS
Mae naman eh!

MANANG HELEN
Ano bang ine-emote mo diyan?
Wala na…tapos na. Sabi mo nga pabalik na siya ngayon ng
Maynila.
Kung ano man ang ginawa mo, hindi mo na mababago ‘yun.
Manalig ka na lang kung ang dalawang tao, sila talaga ang para
sa isa’t isa, tadhana na ang gagawa ng paraan.

PRINCESS
Yan bang si tadhana pinsan ba ‘yan ni Batman?
Kasi ang mga tao pag wala nang magawa sila na ang inaasahan!

MAE
Ewan…ikaw ang mahilig sa Disney hindi ba…sagutin mo ang
tanong na ‘yan…
This makes Princess think.
She then opens her notebook and starts to write more lines to her song.

3. MONTAGE.

Another year has passed.

Cue upbeat version of the first few bars of the Find Your Light theme song.

We are at the park and Princess is now an usher/tour guide for kids.
As we see her doing her daily routine, we hear Princess’ VO.

PRINCESS (VO)
Three years…parang three weeks lang!
Sino nga bang makapagsasabi na darating ang araw na sa loob
ng Disneyland Park na ako magtatrabaho!

We see Princess working with kids, she couldn’t be happier.

PRINCESS (VO)
Nasa akin na nga yata ang lahat…
Parang ang kulang na lang ‘yung spark of magic…

We see Princess pass by the Snow White castle, she gets sprinkled with magic fairy
dust.

PRINCESS (VO)
Ito na nga ba yung pangarap kong maging kasama ng
mga performers sa Disneyland?

She’s about to start her shift, she runs into a few Filipinos performing and working
at the park. She smiles and waves at them.

PRINCESS (VO)
O baka naman love?

We see Princess walking at the park. Then she sees someone who looks like Basti.
She runs after him, but when she catches up to him, we see that this is not Basti.

Princess becomes a bit sad.

4. EXT. DISNEYLAND HOTEL FACADE. DAY.

After Princess’ shift, she meets up with Manang Helen.

MANANG HELEN
Ano, ready ka na ba?

PRINCESS
Manang parang kinakabahan talaga ako…

MANANG HELEN
Ano ka ba naman? Wala namang mawawala.
May talent ka, dapat mong i-share ‘yan.
Isa pa, ginawan talaga ng paraan ni Malen na makakuha ka ng
schedule kay Mr. Fortich, ‘yung musical director ng
Disney kaya dapat i=push mo na ‘yan!

PRINCESS
Pero Manang…as singer?!
Hindi naman ako gano’n kagaling kumanta.

MANANG HELEN
Eh ikaw din…’di ba sabi mo matatapos na kontrata mo sa
park...
Kailangan mong makakuha ng bagong trabaho sa loob ng
Disneyland, kung hindi uuwi ka na…

PRINCESS
Oo nga pero…

MANANG HELEN
Wala nang pero pero! Halika na!

PRINCESS
Sabagay…sabi nga sa Mulan…The flower that blooms in
adversity, is the most rare and beautiful of them all…

MANANG HELEN
O sige na…kapag hindi pa tayo lumakad kakalbuhin kita parang

Manang Helen drags Princess with her.

PRINCESS
Manang naman hindi naman nagpakalbo si Mulan, trim lang…

5. INT. DISNEYLAND – AUDITORIUM. DAY.

We are at a place where singers rehearse for their daily performance.

We see a dignified looking man playing the guitar, this is MR. FORTICH.

MANANG HELEN
Halika…ipapakilala kita aky Mr. Fortich…

PRINCESS
Hindi ba siya nakakatakot…

MANANG HELEN
Ano ka ba? Sobrang bait daw niyan!
Saka Pilipino din ‘yan. Naka-proud ‘di ba, musical director ng
Disneyland Pilipino?
Saka marami sa mga singers niya, Pinoy din. Hindi ka
maninibago sa kanila.

We then hear a few of them vocalize. We zero in on RAKI, one of the stars of the
group.
Just from mere vocalization, we can already tell that raki is quite the singer.

Princess froze. She’s mesmerized.

Manang Helen approaches Mr. Fortich.

He stops playing the guitar.

MANANG HELEN
Hello! Good afternoon to everyone.
Mr. Fortich, I have here the girl Malen, my daughter, talked to
you about…

MR. FORTICH
Yes…Princess isn’t it?

Everyone looks at Princess.

She panics.
PRINCESS
Hello po…
Ah…ang gagaling po ninyo…
Hindi po ako singer. Thanks!
Princess runs out of the auditorium even before anyone can say a word.

6. EXT. DISNEYLAND PARK. DAY.

Princess walks around, distracted thinking about her non-audition.

PRINCESS (VO)
Ano k aba naman Princess…ang tanga-tanga mo…
ipinahiya mo ang sarili mo sa Disneyland Musical
Team… ano pang mukha ang ihaharap mo sa kanila?!
Pangarap mong maging part ng Disneyland…pangarap na
nga lang talaga…

Then Princess notices a young boy alone in the park. He’s crying. Princess tries to
assist him.

PRINCESS
Hello little boy! Are you okay?

The little boy doesn’t answer, just continues crying.

PRINCESS
My name is Princess, what’s your name?

DARRYL
Darryl…

PRINCESS
Are you with someone?

DARRYL
My Dad…

PRINCESS
Great! Where is he?

DARRYL
I don’t know…

PRINCESS
Okay…don’t worry, I work here and I will help you find your
Dad…okay?

But Darryl sees someone or something from a distance and bolts. Princess runs after
him.
 PRINCESS
Hey! Wait for me!
(to herself)

Princess is catching her breath, barely caching up to Darryl.

Then she sees Darryl stop in his tracks and he screams at the top of his lungs…

Daddy!

A guy turns around, smiles and runs to Darryl.

Princess is shocked! The guy is no other than Basti!

BASTI
Darryl!

Princess doesn’t know how to react.

8. EXT. HK DISNEYLAND – LION KING AREA. DAY. CONT.

Princess sees Basti yet again but she gets the shock of her life, she can’t believe Basti
is now a dad!

BASTI
Saan k aba kasi nagususu-suot?! Were you scared?

DARRYL
Yes po…

BASTI
Okay, don’t worry…kasama mo na ang Daddy…

DARRYL
Buti na lang tinulungan ako nung nice lady…ayun siya oh!

Basti looks up and sees Princess.

Princess doesn’t know what to do, will she run away? Will she stay put?
Basti approaches her.

BASTI
Is it true? Tinulungan mo si Darryl?

PRINCESS
Oo…umiiyak kasi siya tapos-

BASTI
How can I repay you?

PRINCESS
Hindi na kailangan…dito ako nagta-trabaho…

BASTI
Still…how can I repay you?

PRINCESS
Patawarin mo na ako sa atraso ko sa’yo…

Basti and Princess look at each other. A moment.

DARRYL
Sama ka na lang sa’min…kasi dalawa lang kami ni Daddy
nagtu-tour dito sa Disneyland eh…

PRINCESS
Nako…sorry…bukas pa kasi ‘yung dayoff ko.

DARRYL
You can join us tomorrow instead…

PRINCESS
Sigurado ka? Ayaw yata ako kasama ng Daddy mo…

Mae and Princess talk about Basti on Telpad.

MAE
O ayan ha, dininig na ni Tadhana ang wishes mo.
In fairness ha, masipag siya, nagkita kayo agad-agad.

PRINCESS
Agad-agad, one year na ang lumipas?

MAE
Bakit sa loob ba ng isang taon nawala na ang feelings mo sa
kanya?

PRINCESS
Hindi nga…pero ang dami nang nangyari in one year, akalain
mo may anak pala siya!

MAE
Ayun lang…wait may asawa ba?

PRINCESS
Wala pero kahit na! Hindi ibig sabihin na hindi niya kasama eh
walang wifey sa eksena. Saka may anak na nga…may
soul mate bang gano’n? May baggage na?

MAE
Ay, ipatawag mo ulit si Tadhana…sabihin mo magtatrabaho
lang siya, kulang-kulang pa!

PRINCESS
May happy ending pa nga kaya ang story naming dalawa?

10. EXT. HK DISNEYLAND FOUNTAIN. DAY.

Basti and Darryl meet with Princess and start to go around the park.
Basti is still a bit miffed at Princess, while Princess is awkward around Darryl and
Basti.
 PRINCESS
So Darryl saan mo gustong pumunta? Doon sa Mountain Ride!
Masaya doon!

BASTI
Ah Darryl, pakisabi nga diyan sa kasama natin na small ka pa,
hindi ka pa pwede sa mga nakakatakot na rides.
(whispering) Parang di nag-iisip.

PRINCESS
Aba…
Ah Darryll, pakisabi nga diyan sa Daddy mo, kung matatakutin
siya, huwag nang ipasa sa ‘yo.
May minimum height requirement naman po dun…
Kung hindi pwede ang bata, eh di hindi.

BASTI
Ah gano’n ako pala ang matatakutin?
Eh sino kaya ‘yung sakay ng sakay ng mga big rides tapos
kapag nasa tuktok na, akala mo nagse-seizure or
something.

Basti even acts out how Princess acts when she’s on rides.
This makes Darryl laugh.

PRINCESS
Ah gano’n eh Darryl pakisabi nga diyan sa Daddy mo, kung
iinsultuhin lang din naman niya ako eh, aalis na lang
ako.

Princess packs her things like her camera, selfie stick, etc and prepares to leave.

DARRYL
Are you guys fighting?
(to Basti)
You told me I can have anything I want…
You promised na ipapa-feel mo sa akin what it feels like to
have a mom and a dad here in Disneyland…
Why are you fighting with her?

Basti realizes the kid is right.

He stops Princess from leaving.

BASTI
Hey…wait up…I’m sorry…huwag ka nang umalis.
 PRINCESS
Basti alam ko galit ka sa akin pero I’m doing this to you as a
favor…

BASTI
I know…Sige na please…
Kahit para na lang sa bata…

They both look at Darryl who gives them his best puppy dog eyes.

11. EXT. HK DISNEYLAND - MICKEY MOUSE. DAY.

Darryl, Princess and Basti are queuing up for a character experience attraction.
Then all of a sudden Darryl becomes too afraid/shy to interact with the character.

BASTI
Come on Darryl lapit ka na kay Mickey!

DARRYL
Ayoko…

BASTI
What?! Ang haba haba ng ipinila natin eh…come on!

PRINCESS
Ano ka ba baka nahihiya ‘yung bata!
(to Darryl)
Darryl halika, let’s play with Mickey!
Hey Mickey! Darryl and I love you!

Princess goes up to Mickey and high fives him.

She even dances with Mickey!
Princess uses her charm to coax Darryl to just have fun. Soon Darryl joins in on the
fun.

Basti sees this and becomes further enamored by Princess.

He finds Princess so amusing!

12. EXT. HK DISNEYLAND FIREWORKS AREA. NIGHT.

The three of them are walking around when the subject of Darryl’s mom is brought
up.
Darryl is walking in front of them, playing with some other kids.
 PRINCESS
Ikaw Basti…ang daya mo…

BASTI
O ano na naman ginawa ko?

PRINCESS
Hindi mo naman nabanggit, may anak ka na pala…

Basti laughs.
He looks at his watch.

BASTI
That’s roughly 29 hours and 15 minutes.
Impressive!

PRINCESS
Huh? Ang alin?

BASTI
The time from when we saw each other yesterday til now, now
that you’re confronting me about Darryl.
Akala ko tatanungin mo ako agad eh.
Darryl’s not my kid. He’s my nephew.

PRINCESS
Bakit naman kita tatanungin, ano naman sa akin kung may
anak ka na?
(VO)
Thank you lord, wala pa siyang anak!

BASTI
Wala lang…thought you’d be curious…
Anyway Darryl’s my only sister’s son…
She’s a single mom eh, and she’s very busy sa negosyo namin,
she rarely has the time to bond with him…

PRINCESS
Eh bakit nga ba Dad ang tawag niya sa’yo?

BASTI
You asked me before kung bakit ako laging pumupunta sa
Disneyland…
As a child, para akong si Darryl. My parents got their marriage
annulled when I was three, and they’re the busy,
business executive types…never had time for me…
Princess looks at Basti’s eyes. They’re full od pain.

BASTI
Lagi nila akong pinapangakuan na dadalhin nila ako dito…
Year in and year out…umasa ako…
But they never did…So ngayon malaki na ako I take myself
here…
See what I missed out on…
I don’t want Darryl to feel the same way…
Princess feels sorry for Basti and hugs him. She hopes that somehow the hug will
make him feel better.

Princess hugs Manang Helen from behind.

This makes Princess reflect on her situation.

2. EXT. BIBBIDI BOBBIDI BOUTIQUE. ANOTHER DAY.

Princess and Basti are walking around Hong Kong Disneyland again.
This time, it’s just the two of them.

PRINCESS
Ibig mong sabihin, pumunta lang dito ‘yung Ate mo para
sunduin lang si Darryl…tapos umuwi na rin siya?

BASTI
Well…may client meeting din siya over coffee. So tumagal
naman siya ng mga 2 hours sa Hong Kong bago sila
umuwi ng Maynila.

PRINCESS
Grabe, nag-kape lang sa Hong Kong pa?! Sayang…mami-miss
ko si Darryl…ang cute-cute kaya niya!

BASTI
Mas cute pa sa’kin?
 PRINCESS
Nako, ewan ko sa’yo!

They pass by the Bibbidi Bobbidi Botique. Princess is excited.

PRINCESS
Oh my God…Bibbidi Bobbidi Botique! Dito mine-make over
‘yung mga bata eh, para mag-mukha silang Princess.
Pangarap ko kayang maging Princess…haler? Princess na
nga ‘yung pangalan ko eh.

BASTI
Eh ‘di…halika pasok tayo, magpa-make over ka…

PRINCESS
Eh ayoko, nakakahiya…pangbata lang ‘yan eh.

BASTI
‘Di naman siguro...sige na…

PRINCESS
Hindi, ayoko…sabihin ng mga bata inagawan ko pa sila.
Basta balang araw magiging Princess din ako…’di ko nga
lang alam kung paano…

This makes Basti think.

3. EXT. INDEPENDENT/QUARTERS. NEXT DAY.

Up romantic and whimsical music.

Princess is coming out of their quarters, blindfolded.

Behind her is Manang Helen.

PRINCESS
Ano bang pakulo ‘to Manang? Hindi ko pa naman birthday…

MANANG HELEN
Huwag kang makulit…ayan na…malapit na…
Okay 1, 2, 3…

Manang Helen removes the blindfold and Princess sees a beautiful princess gown in
front of her.
And it’s not just a gown. She has gloves, a tiara, the works. Everything that a princess
will need.
(NOTE: This is just a generic princess outfit, not a Disney one).

PRINCESS
Luh? Ano ‘to?!

Then Basti approaches Princess. He’s smiling at her.

BASTI
Because being a princess shouldn’t have an age limit…

4. INT. DISNEYLAND HOTEL – CHAMBERMAID’S QUARTER. THAT NIGHT.

With Manang Helen’s help, Princess is transformed into a magical Disney princess.
Some blush on here, a touch of mascara there. And then the tiara to complete her
look.

On top of a table we see packs of Bingo biscuits.

Then we see Manang Helen looking at Princess who is off screen.

We see marvel in her eyes.

5. INT. DISNEYLAND HOTEL – LOBBY. LATER.

Princess comes down a spiral staircase looking like a great princess!

She takes Basti’s breath away!

6. INT. DISNEYLAND HOTEL – LOBBY. CONT.

Continuation of the previous scene.

Basti “sees” Princess for the first time, the real Princess – gorgeous, radiant,
princess-y.

BASTI

PRINCESS
Thanks for making me feel like a real princess…

BASTI

 PRINCESS
Huh? Saan? Dito?!

BASTI
Bakit saan mo ba gusto?

PRINCESS

As if on cue, a pianist sits down on the lobby’s grand piano and starts playing the
theme song.

BASTI

Basti and Princess start a sweet and slow dance a sweet and slow dance.

back to Manila.

Basti hugs Princess. He’s ecstatic.

But instead of making her happy, this news makes Princess very sad.

9. EXT. DISNEYLAND HOTEL LOBBY – GRAND PIANO. ANOTHER NIGHT.

Basti notices that Princess is not happy.

Ayaw mo ba na lagi tayong magkasama?

PRINCESS

Endo na ako this weekend, uuwi na ako ng Manila…

BASTI
What?! I thought you’re staying here?

PRINCESS
Hindi na ako nakahanap ng ibang trabaho eh.
Isa pa, maysakit din si Papa, gusto ko din siyang alagaan…
Uuwi na ako day after tomorrow…

This makes Princess and Basti sad.

But Basti is a little bit more optimistic.

BASTI
Huwag kang mag-alala…we’ll beat this.

10. INT. HK DISNEYLAND HOTEL PANTRY. NEXT DAY.

Princess is talking to Mae on TelPad, not knowing what to do with Basti.

MAE
Ano ka ba naman Mars, ang lapit lapit lang ng Hongkong o.
Mas mabilis pa nga ang byahe papunta diyan kesa mag-EDSA
ka ng Pasay hanggang Munoz kapag Friday.

PRINCESS
 Nandoon na nga tayo, pero alam mo naman ayoko ng long
distance relationship…
Noong nag-Saudi si Mama nagkahiwalay sila ni Papa…
Nung nagpunta dito si Brens, nakahanap siya ng iba…

MAE
Baka naman pwedeng dito na lang siya sa Maynila magtrabaho
sa company nila…

PRINCESS
Kinuhanan na siya ng trabaho ng Dad niya dito eh…

Princess removes herself from Basti’s embrace.

She stops in her tracks. The desperation in Basti’s voice makes her cry.

But she stands her ground. And with slow yet steady feet, she walks away from

Mae notices that Princess is actually a bit sad.

Halo halo eh…masaya ako syempre dahil kasama ko ang
pamilya ko, pero malungkot din ako kasi ang dami kong
kaibigan na naiwan sa Disney...

Mga kaibigan lang…wala kang ibang naiwan?

PRINCESS
Ay ‘yung takure ko. Yung initan ko ng tubig?
Ipapadala na lang daw ni Manang.

sa katapusan…
Pa, parang pumapayat ka…ha…lagi kang kakain kasi!

Princess turns off her Telpad and puts it in her bag.

BASTI
Araw-araw kang tumatawag sa Manila?

PRINCESS
Oo nako…kasi mahirap magpalaki ng magulang!

Basti smiles.

Naiinggit ako sa relationship ninyo ng Papa mo.
I’d like to be as close as that to my parents, pero...parang ayaw
naman nila.

PRINCESS
Busy lang sila Basti, pero magulang pa rin sila…
Magulang mo…I’m sure mahal ka din nila…
Huwag kang mag-give up sa pag-reach out sa kanila…

Basti readies himself for another disappointment.

BASTI’S MOM

This makes Basti smile.

Princess is about to sleep when one of her nieces enter her room, bringing with her

Princess doesn’t have an answer for that.

5. INT. PRINCESS’ ROOM – MANILA. ANOTHER DAY.

A FEW MONTHS PASS

Princess is preparing to go to work at an office, when she gets a call on her Telpad,
it’s Mr. Fortich, Disneyland’s Musical Director.

MR. FORTICH
Hello Princess! Kamusta ka na?

PRINCESS
Mr. Fortich?! Bakit- Paano po ninyo nakuha ang number ko?

MR. FORTICH
 I inquired sa HR. Listen, I have great news for you!
Somebody sent me a video of your song…’yung sinulat mo?
I believe it’s called Find Your Light…?

PRINCESS
Opo…

MR. FORTICH
I’m impressed! I love it…I think it’s a great song.
At dahil diyan, gusto namin siyang gamitin para sa isang
campaign for the Hongkong Disneyland.
We’re going to use it for plugs.

PRINCESS
Talaga po?!

MR. FORTICH
That is, if it’s alright with you…

PRINCESS
Oo naman po!

MR. FORTICH
Great! We’re doing the recording and the music video shoot in
a week’s time, and we’d love to invite you here…para
naman makita mo na ma-perform ang song mo for the
first time!

PRINCESS
Nako maraming salamat po Sir!

MR. FORTICH
We’ll send you the itinerary once everything’s ironed out.
You have an amazing talent Princess, congratulations!
I’ll see you soon okay?

PRINCESS
Yes Sir!

MR. FORTICH
Bye!

Mr. Fortich hangs up. Princess is ecstatic!

But then she realizes…
 PRINCESS
Teka, sino’ng nag-submit nung kanta?!

7. INT. COFFEE SHOP/NEUTRAL. DAY. BINGO WEBSITE INTRUSION.

MAE
Eh di si Basti, sino pa?!

We are at a coffee shop or park or any independent location.

This is where Mae and Princess usually meet and hang out.
There’s a laptop open in front of them that Mae is presumably working on.

PRINCESS
Kung sa bagay…siya lang naman ang may kopya no’n bukod sa
akin…

MAE
Ang sweet di ba? Sa viral video kayo nagkakilala, sa video din
kayo magkakabalikan!

PRINCESS
Balikan ka naman agad? Wala pa rin naman nagbago sa
sitwasyon ko…
Manonood lang ako ng launch ng kanta ko, tapos dito pa rin
ako titira sa Pilipinas….

MAE
Huwag ka nga!
Feeling ko talaga tadhana na ang naglalapit sa inyo ni Basti.
It just gave the two of you a chance! Huwag ninyong sayangin.

This makes Princess think.

MAE
Alam mo mabuti pa…heto…

Mae shows her the Bingo Kiligmeter website.

PRINCESS
Ano ‘yan?!

MAE
Bingo Kiligmeter.
Ito ang magsasabi kung nababagay ba talaga kayo ni Basti para
sa isa’t isa.
Mae types Princess’ name and Basti’s name on the Kiligmeter website.

MAE
Ayan! 88%! Taas di ba?
Pati si Kiligmeter nag-aagree na may chance!
Pagdating na pagdating mo do’n, hanapin mo agad si Basti.
Balikan mo agad!

This makes Princess think.

8. INT. DISNEYLAND HOTEL LOBBY. ANOTHER DAY.

Princess arrives at the hotel and Manang Helen and Sam are there to welcome her.

PRINCESS
Kuya Sam, buti nakapunta ka! Manang! Na-miss ko kayo!

SAM
Na-miss din kita Prins…pati ‘yung mga Disney quotes mo.
Sa Park na rina ako nagtatrabaho…

PRINCESS
Ay good! Galing galing, congrats Kuya!
Manang na-miss kia!

MANANG HELEN
Na-miss ka ng takure mo!

They laugh. They are all excited to see each other again. Mr. Fortich is also there to
let Princess know of the song launch.

MR. FORTICH
So Princess, it’s great to have you back!
The recording is tomorrow and sa gabi, at the day after yung
music video.
By the way, may magandang balita rin ako sa ‘yo:
Since I was really impressed sa composition mo, I’d like to
extend a job offer, you can be a part of the Hongkong
Disneyland musical team if you accept it.

PRINCESS
Talaga po?
 MR. FORTICH
Yes!

Princess hugs Manang Helen.

PRINCESS
Manang…yung pangarap ko…nagkatotoo na!

MANANG HELEN
Oo nga anak…proud na proud ako sa ‘yo.

SAM
Congrats Princess!

PRINCESS
Salamat Kuya Sam!

MANANG HELEN
Teka, nagkita na ba kayo ni Basti?

Princess shakes her head…no.

MANANG HELEN
O ano pang hinihintay mo?!

9. EXT. DISNEYLAND PARK. DAY.

Princess looks at her cellphone and the message is clear:

MEET ME AT THE CAROUSEL.

This is Basti wanting to meet with her. Princess is excited and nervous at the same
time.

PRINCESS (VO)
Oh my god…makikita ko na ulit si Basti!
At parang lalagnatin ako sa IG post niya!

Princess double checks Basti’s IG post and there, written in big bold letters…

WILL PROPOSE TO HER…

PRINCESS (VO)
This is it! Magpopo-propose na siya!
Ang happy ending ng love story namin!
Ang pinaka-aasam asam kong happy ever after!
Then around a corner Princess sees Basti with Sasha, his ex-grilfriend from years
back, and he’s putting on a ring on her, Sasha’s, finger!

Princess’ heart breaks into a million little pieces.

GAP 1

10. INT. ROOM – DISNEYLAND HOTEL. THAT NIGHT

Princess is crying, talking to Mae, via TelPad.

MAE
Teka, bago ka ngumangalngal na parang walang bukas diyan…
Sure ka ba walang kumuha ng video mo kanina?

PRINCESS
Wala naman…

MAE
Sure? Eh diyan sa kwarto mo? Baka may hidden cam diyan…

PRINCESS
Wala! Grabe…paano niya nagawa sa akin ‘yun?!

MAE
Ano ba daw ang sabi?

PRINCESS
Ano, alangan namang kausapin ko pa siya?! Tama na ‘yung
nakita ko…nasaktan na ako…
Alam naman niyang may history ako sa Disney at sa mga
proposal na ‘yan!
Gano’n ba siya talaga kasama?

MAE
O tingnan mo ‘to…hindi mo kakausapin ‘yung tao tapos ako
tatanungin mo? Malay ko?
Malay mo may magandang paliwanag naman kung bakit…ano…
 Kung bakit nagpopo-propose siya dun sa buruka at kung bakit
gusto niyang ipakita sa ‘yo ‘yun!

PRINCESS
Ano?! Ano’ng magandang paliwanag ‘yun…

MAE
Malay mo lang…

Princess’ phone rings.

PRINCESS
Ayan…nakuha pang tumawag ng animal!

MAE
Sagutin mo!

PRINCESS
Manigas siya! Hinding hindi ko na siya kakausapin!
Yan, forever yan!

MONTAGE

Cue theme sad version of our theme song.

We see Princess trying to keep busy as she tries hard to avoid Basti and his calls.

11. EXT. HK DISNEYLAND AUDITORIUM/PARK. DAY.

We are at an auditorium, on the stage is Mr. Fortich and Princess and some
members of the Disney band.
Mr. Fortich shows Princess where the performance of Find Your Light is going to be
held at.

Princess’ phone rings.

We see that Basti is calling Princess.
She ignores his call.

12. EXT. HK DISNEYLAND PARK/AUDITORIUM. DAY.

A dance troupe is practicing the routine for Princess song.

Princess looks on, trying to look happy, but she’s not.
She keeps seeing Basti’s smiling face in the crowd.

13. INT. HK DISNEYLAND RECORDING STUDIO/REHEARSAL ROOM. DAY.

Princess is with the singers of Disneyland, among them Raki, who is all smiles and
positivity. We see Raki hitting the songs glory note.
Mr, Fortich is also there, and they’re all happy about the song, but all Princess can
think of is when Basti told her she has the magic in her…

INSERT SCENE WHERE BASTI TOLD HER ABOUT THE MAGIC IN HER.

Princess is teary-eyed.

13. EXT. DISNEYLAND PARK/INT. AUDITORIUM. NIGHT.

The performance is about to start, the technical dress rehearsal wraps up, and it’s
perfect. Everyone is happy.

DIRECTOR
Okay…places everyone!

Manang Helen and Sam are with Princess, they’re about to take their place.

SAM
Okay ka lang Princess?

PRINCESS
Okay lang Kuya…

MANANG HELEN
Sigurado ka hindi mo na papupuntahin si Basti?

PRINCESS
Okay na ako Manang…

Manang Helen sighs.

Princess gets ready for the performance. She wants to be happy but deep inside
she’s still hurting.

Then all of a sudden Basti approaches her.

BASTI
Princess…pwede ba tayo mag-usap sandali…

They are face to face once again.

GAP 2
14. EXT. DISNEYLAND. NIGHT. CONT.

Princess tries to ignore Basti.

PRINCESS
Magsisimula na ‘yung performance…

BASTI
Bakit mo ba ako iniiwasan? Ano ba’ng kasalanan ko sa ‘yo?

SAM
Pare…dahan dahan ka lang…

BASTI
Huwag kang makialam dito…

There’s tension between Sam and Basti. Princess breaks it off to avoid a big ruckus.

PRINCESS
Kuya Sam okay lang…
Bakit mo nagawa sa akin ‘yun Basti?!
Alam mong minsan na akong nasaktan noong umasa ako na
magpo-propose si Brens…tapos pinaasa mo din ako na
magpo- propose ka sa akin?!

BASTI
Huh? Hindi naman kita pinaasa-

PRINCESS
Oo na, sige na ako na ang assumera ng taon.
Ako na ang umasa na magpo-propose ka…Pasensya, akala ko
kasi mahal mo ako…

BASTI
I DO love you…and I WAS…I AM going to propose...Hindi ko
alam kung saan mo nakuha ‘yung idea na pinaasa lang
kita…

PRINCESS
Huh? Pero…nakita ko kayo ni Sasha sa carousel
tapos…sinusuotan mo s’ya ng singsing…

It takes Basti a second to process this then he laughs. Wildly.

PRINCESS
 BAKIT KA TUMATAWA?!

BASTI
I just ran into Sasha that day…
Yung sa singsing…that was just a coincidence, nahulog yung
ring niya so pinulot ko…
Princess, may asawa’t anak na si Sasha…

INSERT BRIEF FLASHBACK OF PRINCESS MISSING SASHA’S HUSBAND AND KID

PRINCESS
So…hindi kayo nagkabalikan?

BASTI
Hinding hindi.

PRINCESS
At magpo-propose ka talaga sa akin...?

BASTI
Well, since nawala na rin naman ang element of surprise…

Basti gets down on his knees, opens a box and presents a magnificent engagement
ring to Princess.
BASTI
You’re the love of my life…my storybook happy ending…
Ikaw ang nagdala ng sobrang saya at positivity sa buhay ko…
Para kang Disney, in a way…you even brought me closer to my
parents…they’re here by the way…to see this…

Basti waves to his parents who are there in the crowd supporting his proposal.

BASTI
Hindi ko kaya na magkahiwalay tayo…I can’t live without you
Princess…
Mahal na mahal na mahal kita….
Will you marry me?

PRINCESS (tearfully)
Yes.

Everybody in the crowd cheers.

Basti stands up and kisses Princess.

Then Find Your Light is performed interspersed with Princess and Basti sweet and
happy moments. As we see this we hear Princess’ VO…
PRINCESS
Sa huli natagpuan ko din ang magic within me…
Ang aking happy ever after…
Sa happiest place on earth!!
