HRM CASE STUDY-4

1. Dinesh's behavior is unprofessional, disrespectful, and insubordinate. He

refused to follow his supervisor's instructions and used abusive language in

front of his colleagues, which could create a negative work environment. To

rate Dinesh's behavior, a behaviorally anchored rating scale (BARS) could be

used, which describes specific behaviors that are expected or not expected

from an employee in a given situation. The rating could range from "below

expectations" to "exceeds expectations," and would be based on observable

and measurable behaviors. The focus of the appraisal would be on Dinesh's

communication skills, his ability to follow instructions, and his overall attitude

towards his job and his supervisor.

2. Yes, it seems that some employees need training on how to maintain a clean

workplace and prevent accidents. The training program should cover the

following inputs:

 Importance of maintaining a clean and safe workplace

 Best practices for cleaning and disposing of trash and hazardous materials

 Importance of following instructions and procedures

 How to report accidents or hazards

 How to handle conflicts or disagreements with colleagues or supervisors in a

professional manner
 The training program could be delivered through a combination of classroom instruction,

hands-on practice, and role-playing exercises. It should be mandatory for all employees

in the department, including Dinesh, and should be conducted regularly to ensure that

employees are up to date with the latest practices and procedures.
