Notification

Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal, like every year, has made plans to
celebrate World Environment Day on 5 June 2021. The theme for this year is “Restoration of Eco
Systems”. This year, the celebrations will be held online from 10 AM.

All affiliated Colleges/ Institutes of MAKAUT, WB, are hereby requested to encourage their students to
write Research Articles (approximately 1000 words) on the theme with active guidance and supervision
from their faculty members. All such Research Articles written by students containing Name, College,
Branch, Class, Roll, Phone, email etc, may please be sent to the following email address:

The coordinators/SPOC of MAR of all colleges are requested to coordinate the event and collect the
article from the students and send the articles to the University after primary scrutiny (Content, length,
relevance, quality etc). All articles accepted/shortlisted by the University would receive certificate and
would be entitled for MAR points.

Research Articles submitted by students will be reviewed by a panel of judges appointed by the
University and the short-listed Articles will be selected for online presentation by the students who have
authored them on 5 June 2021. The program is expected to be viewed by a very large audience and will
be streamed live on YouTube. Students whose articles are shortlisted for presentation will receive
certificates/prizes from the University. Students making online Power Point presentations need to
ensure that they have stable internet connectivity.

All interested students should clearly write their names, addresses, College names, contact numbers &
email addresses on their article submissions. Students whose Articles are shortlisted will be informed
through email/WA/phone by 3 June 2021. Regarding short-listing of Articles, the decision of the
University will be final and binding on all participants.

The closing date for submission of Articles is 1 June 2021.
