TITLE OF THE TECHNICAL SEMINAR:

Human Computer Interaction

ABSTRACT: The use of a physical controller like mouse, keyboard for human computer interaction
hinders natural interface as there is a strong barrier between the user and computer. we have with
computers and why human computer interaction is important, how it affects everyday lives what
implications it has on the environment, what security issues there are with technology. The progress
technology has made since the first invention of its kind and where this invention will be in the future.
Research has been done on various sources include the internet, books and newspapers. Human
Computer Interaction with a personal computer today is not just limited to keyboard and mouse
interaction. Interaction between humans comes from different sensory modes like gesture, speech, facial
and body expressions. Being able to interact with the system naturally is becoming ever more important
in many fields of Human Computer Interaction. Computer have become a part of every day life now
and in the future may be more involved in our lives than other people through interaction. The most
important functions of a computer even from the early inventions is that they can play a vital role in the
security of the country, to help fight and prevent crime, in industry where large organization need to
store and retrieve data. To help people with disabilities as some disabilities can be overcome with the
help of computers. The social impact of computers is that some people without them would feel lost as
this is the only way they can keep in touch with some friends, relatives that are not close by but would
like to keep them informed of everyday actives and news about their life. Economic impact of
computers is that they have helped countries in terms of revenue when they make computers and in
terms of organisation’s when they need technical support for their computers they will need to employ
someone or outsource this job to a company that has some knowledge in this field.
