A Web browser is application software that is used to present or receive resources that is traversing

through the World Wide Web (www). An information resource can be images, videos, web pages or any
other content identified by URL. Browsers plays the client-side interface role in Client Server
Architecture. Browsers allow client device to connect to a web server and read the HTML files located on
it.

Tim Berners-Lee developed it in December of It was released in March, 1991.Interview with Tim
berners-lee: Why did you invent the WWW?“Well, I found it frustrating that in those days, there
was different information on different computers, but you had to log on to different computers
to get at it. Also, sometimes you had to learn a different program on each computer.” said Tim
Berners-Lee.People at CERN came from universities all over all types of computers.
