Thread Pitch
Here a simple method to check the thread pitch of your axle with a normal
vernier caliper.
Measure the total width of 4 thread "roots" as follows:
Align caliper "jaws" with the "first" and with the "fifth" crests (4 roots).
Total width 4mm --> thread pitch 1mm
Total width 5mm --> thread pitch 1.25mm
Total width 6mm --> thread pitch 1.5mm

The notched area of the thread get reinforced by the allen groove and
locking/tightening forces do not affect the axle with
useless torsional stress.

Machined with our usual Extra-care, makes you save up to 50g!

The stainless/bronze washer adds a smooth action, a tricky nice touch.
