Intruduction

Visual Arts is an academic discipline that equips students with the

artistic and technical skills necessary to create various art forms, such
as paintings, drawings, sculptures, photos, videos, and films. Visual art
forms have a significant cultural component and aim at
communicating ideas, entertaining, awakening emotions in us, and
much more.

The current usage of the term “visual arts” includes fine art as well as
the applied, decorative arts and crafts, but this was not always the
case. Before the Arts and Crafts Movement in Britain and elsewhere
at the turn of the 20 century, the term ‘artist’ was often restricted to a
person working in the fine arts (such as painting, sculpture, or
printmaking) and not the handicraft, craft, or applied art media.

In this subject you learn about the process of making art in many
forms including drawing, painting, printmaking, digital imaging,
sculpture, clay, metal, and fiber. You explore art made in the western
world from ancient Greece to our modern day and the artistry of
nonwestern cultures including Asia, Africa, and the Islamic .
Acknowledgement

I have taken efforts in this project. However, it would

not have been possible without the kind support and
help of many individuals. I would like to extend my
sincere tanks to all of them. I am highly indebted to
Mrs. Sheree Lhyn Salazar for her guidance and constant
supervision as well as for providing necessary
information regarding the project and also for her
support in completing the project. Her constant
guidance and willingness to share her vast knowledge
made us understand this project and its manifestations
in great depths and helped us to complete the assigned
tasks on time. I would like to express my gratitude
towards my parents and to all my classmates in BCAED
2-F for their kind cooperation and encouragement which
help me in completion of this project. My thanks and
appreciations also go to my colleagues in developing
the project and people who have willingly helped me
out with their abilities
Reflection
In the subject of “visual arts 2” I learned a lot that J can use in
the next semester and in my dream of becoming a future
educator. I have enhanced my talent in drawing and painting.
Our instructor made a lot of artworks and I enjoyed making
them because I love to paint and draw. That is better because
we learn more ways that we should do to make our drawing
and painting more beautiful. And also increase my knowledge
about the visual arts, I learned where and when the arts
began. I also learned the elements of visual arts, and these are
Line, shape, tone, color, pattern, texture, and form. This
elements are the building blocks of composition in art. When
we analyze any drawing, painting, sculpture, or design, we
examine these component parts to see how they combine to
create the overall effect of the artwork. They teach us how to
draw using only line. We were also teach how to make a
drawing using shapes. We also learned how to make a
drawing or painting beautiful by adjusting the tone and
texture.
