MODEL IDP
ISOLATED
POWER PANEL
The IDP Isolated Power Panel repre-
sents our standard system. All of the
basic elements are included: hospital
grade isolation transformer, line isola-
tion monitor, branch circuit distribution,
and a room reference grounding bus.
This package is available in ratings
from 3 to 15 kVA, with several optional
voltage configurations. The panel may
be installed directly inside the patient
care area or in a nearby corridor. When
panels are not installed locally, remote
annunciators are utilized to provide in-
dication of system status inside the area
being served by the panel, per NEC
requirements.
Healthcare facilities are designed to
meet the increasing demand for safe,
reliable power. Our Isolated Power Sys-
tems fulfill the safety requirements for
special protection in “wet locations”
specified by the NEC. They provide an
additional safeguard against interrup-
tion of power under fault conditions.
MODEL IDC
ISOLATED
POWER CENTER
The IDC Isolated Power Center pack-
ages our basic panel with optional
devices such as receptacles and
ground jacks. Typically installed in
patient care areas such as ICUs, CCUs,
recovery areas, cardiac catheterization
labs, emergency rooms, dialysis units,
and delivery rooms, these units offer a
compact solution for providing local-
ized protection to a small area.
Load and voltage ratings are the same
as for basic IDP Power Panel models.
Available device accessories include
standard 20A hospital grade duplex
and twist-lock receptacles as well as
30A twist-lock ground jacks. Other
options such as our Operating Room
Stereo Systems are also available.
The IDC Isolated Power Center’s 16
available branch circuits can feed re-
mote mounted receptacles and perma-
nently installed equipment as well as
the panel mounted devices.

The DIDP Duplex Isolated Power Panel
provides two complete isolated power
systems in a single enclosure. This com-
pact design offers a reduced footprint
that takes up less valuable wall space.
The panel may be installed directly in-
side the patient care area or in a nearby
corridor. When panels are not installed
locally, remote annunciators are uti-
lized to provide indication of system
status inside the area being served by
the panel. It also simplifies installation,
saving time and money.
Duplex panels are typically specified
to provide Isolated Power protection
for both Normal and Emergency sys-
tems inside the same area. Internal bar-
riers ensure separation between the
two systems.
These units can also be used to provide
additional load capacity without in-
creasing the total hazard current above
nominal level.

more evident than in the components that go into the manufacture of our
Isolated Power Panels.
These components include:
The single phase, stacked core ISOLATION TRANSFORMER with elec-
1 trostatic shield, designed for low leakage and quiet operation. The maxi-
mum leakage current is only 10 microamps for 3 and 5 kVA, 14
microamps for 7.5 kVA, 20 microamps for 10 kVA and 25 microamps
for 15 kVA.
Ratings available – 3, 5, 7.5, 10 or 15 kVA.
Primary voltage – 120, 208, 220, 240, 277, 347, 480 or 600.
Secondary voltage – 120, 208, 220, or 240.
2 The PG LIFE LINK MARK IV LINE ISOLATION MONITOR offers
continuous monitoring with non-switching circuitry. The LIM signals
are plainly visible on the front of the panel and are not obscured when
the circuit breaker door is opened.
In accordance with code requirements, we use a two-pole BOLT ON
3 CIRCUIT BREAKER PANEL. It houses the primary main circuit breaker
and up to sixteen secondary breakers. U.L. Listed.
The LOCKABLE DOOR over the circuit breaker panel features a
4 Corbin lock, preventing unauthorized operation.
The FIELD WIRING COMPARTMENT is formed by a baffle and fastened
5 to the chassis.
A TERMINAL BLOCK is supplied for the connection of remote signal
6 conductors.
The GROUND BUS is used for connection of all internal and branch
7 ground conductors.
The heavy-duty BACK BOX is constructed of galvanized steel and
8 is designed for either flush or surface mounting.
The CHASSIS mounts inside the back box and supports the isolation
9 transformer, LIM and circuit breaker panel simplifying installation.
A FRONT TRIM PANEL fabricated from #12 gauge, 304 stainless steel
10 polished to a #4 satin finish, comes standard. A continuously hinged
front trim panel is available upon request at an additional charge.

room designated as a flammable anesthetiz-
ing location, the enclosure must be located

❖ Conductors used for branch circuit wiring

should be stranded copper having a cross-
2 linked polyethylene insulation or equivalent
with a dielectric constant of 3.5 or less. Type
XHHW is suitable for this purpose. Wire pull-
3 ing compounds, other than talc, produce an
4 adverse effect upon the dielectric constant

of the conductor insulation and are specifi-
cally prohibited by the NEC when pulling
