REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE AND STUDIES

2.0 Foreign Literature

According to the theory of Parry & Tyson over a six year period of conducting studies on the
recruitment activities of corporations they found out that the most common reason of using corporate
or commercial websites in their recruitment were cost-effectiveness (75%), ease of use or candidates
(64%), a larger candidate pool (53%), ease of use for the organization (52%), speed to hire (52%) and
company policy (50%). On the other hand, the less common reasons were success in finding candidates
(44%) and keeping ahead of competitors (32%).
