BREEAM (BUILDING RESEARCH ESTABLISHMENT ENVIRONMENTAL
ASSESSMENT METHOD) is a voluntary green building sustainability rating system
established in the UK for assessing the environmental performance of buildings. It assesses
the performances of buildings over a wide range of environmental issues to produce a rating
of either PASS, GOOD, VERY GOOD, EXCELLENT or OUTSTANDING.
