To familiarize with the process control system of Boilers.

III. Answer the questions below:

A. Explain how the PID closed loop control system works on the Boiler by
sensing the steam pressure on the Boiler steam output and controlling the fuel
gas?

The PID closed loop control system for steam pressure on the boiler steam output is an efficient way to keep
conditions ideal. The control system ensures that the steam pressure remains at the intended setpoint for
reliable and efficient boiler operation by utilizing a mix of measurement, comparison, and adjustment.

B. Explain how the PID closed loop control system works on the Boiler by
sensing the water level inside the Boiler and controlling the feed water?

The PID closed loop control system for water level within the boiler uses the level transmitter, level indicating
controller, and control valve to manage and maintain the required water level. The control system assures safe
and efficient boiler operation by constantly monitoring and modifying the valve position depending on the
output signal from the PID controller.
