Laboratory 5 (Group Activity)

Observations:
While doing the design of our calculator, our group didn’t feel any pressure since some of
our members have an idea already about it. The only difficulty we had is on how we can apply
the codes to the design of our calculator and how we can make our calculator work like a real
calculator by using the codes we had an idea about. For us to be able have an idea about how we
can make a program for the calculator, we watched some videos that has the connections about
the activity. After watching some videos that gives us guides, we have learned that for us to be
able to connect the codes to our calculator, we must use names for each buttons in our calculator
so that we can declare it to our codes.

After we design our calculator, each of us have discovered that our knowledge about this
particular subject is not limited and if we also want to gain more knowledge about programming,
we must help ourselves to discover and learn more. We also realized that working as a group and
sharing knowledge to everyone makes the task easily to finish.

Conclusion:
We therefore conclude that thinking that the task is hard, it will be harder than we thought.
But if we think that we can finish the task before the given due date, it will be easier to finish that
we’ll be shocked to the point that we are already done and just doing some finishing touches of
it. We have learned that designing the program is much easier than brainstorming for the codes
that we need to use for the program. We also discovered that this activity is a stepping stone for
us to discover more about designing a program. This activity is the start to encourage ourselves
to discover more about programming.
