SCOPE of the Project
The scope of our project encompasses the development and implementation of a
robust fake news detection system using machine learning algorithms. We aim to
achieve high accuracy and reliability in identifying fake news across various
domains. The system will provide a user-friendly interface for easy access and
utilization by individuals seeking to verify the authenticity of news articles.
Furthermore, we envision the potential for future enhancements, such as
integrating real-time news monitoring and expanding the system's capabilities to
detect evolving forms of fake news. Our project seeks to make a significant impact
in combating misinformation and promoting the dissemination of reliable
information in the digital age.

Methodology
• We have selected two datasets for our experiments which contain news from
major domains like politics, entertainment, technology, and sports.

• Expanding on the current work by introducing ensemble techniques with

various linguistic feature sets to classify news articles from multiple domains as
true or fake. The ensemble techniques along with Linguistic Inquiry and Word

• We have implemented the experiment using five different algorithm and

analyzed the result on each algorithms and found out the best performing
algorithm.

Conclusion

In conclusion, our project has successfully developed a robust and efficient fake
news detection system using machine learning algorithms. By leveraging
advanced techniques, we have achieved high accuracy in distinguishing between
genuine and fake news articles across diverse domains. Our system's performance
metrics, including accuracy, precision, recall, and F1 score, demonstrate its
effectiveness in combating the spread of misinformation. Through our work, we
have addressed the limitations of previous research, introduced novel
approaches, and contributed to the advancement of fake news detection
technology. The successful implementation of our project holds great potential in
protecting individuals, society, and democracy from the detrimental effects of
fake news and fostering a more informed and trustworthy information landscape.
